bar tender was super uptight about being tipped (mind you, she hadn’t even given us a minute to pull out tip money). took forever to get in on top of that but verbatim she said “we live off of tips. if you’re not gonna leave a tip you need to go to another bar. leave. byyyyeeeee” screw this place

Here From North Carolina, when visiting D’Jais for some food and drinks with friends. we were unsure which entrance we could enter through. We decided to ask the security guard who has his back towards one of the entrances. He didn’t hear our question if we could enter through this side based off his response with a “what” and a discussed bothered look on his face as he was on his phone and we had interrupted his social media time. As we asked again if we can come through this side or is there another entrance we have to go through his response was “yeah” with an eye roll and his back still toward the entrance. He then went back to his phone. Scrolling through social media not a great impression for someone who’s never been there. The waitress was amazing attentive, polite, and informative.

Stopped here on vacation in Belmar. Waited for quite some time before a hostess appeared, was able to get outdoor seating, which was nice, as it is right off the beach. The food was okay, not really remarkable ( I got a grilled chicken sandwhich). It was pricey for two people (we each had two frozen drinks as well as our sandwiches), and the total before the tip was $94, which was steep for a rather disappointing sandwich (super basic, not much flavor, and came on a bland hoagie roll). The atmosphere was nice, however, and while we didn't get to stay for the band, there was live music and I get the impression that the night life would be decent. I would probably stop in and have a drink (the frozen sunset daiquiri was DELICIOUS) but I dont know if i would grab food again.

This place straight up sucked. Rude bouncers and bartenders. Awful service, and just the worst vibes inside. Insane amount of people packed like sardines.

The one big bouncer is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I’ve never seen a grown man act like that in a work setting before. An oversized man baby yelling and screaming, undoubtedly roid rage, it was very disturbing his coworkers allow that behavior. Doesn’t seem like it was his first time acting this way simply by how others were talking to him, trying to calm him down. When he threw his fit his coworkers came over to physically stop him from throwing even more of a tantrum, a grown 40 something year old man. Seriously will never be coming back and will be 100% honest with anyone that inquires about my experience here. No room to dance, completely sardine’d with everybody else in there, other people’s drinks running down your legs all night. Horrible experience and super disappointing considering I went here for my birthday and was accosted by said bouncer for being sent around to different/wrong lines by other bouncers. Yall need to do better and fire that man who clearly cannot regulate his emotions properly, he has no business acting that way at his place of work.

Mojito had no booze in it and the mint leaves were not muddled. Also had some brown old mint leaves floating around. Gross.
Waitress was less than thrilled to be working.
Bathrooms were disgusting and dark.
I feel bad for the younger crowd, as they are being taken with watered down booze, unless you order out of a bottle.

Terrible atmosphere, terrible clientele, terrible staff. Not a single redeeming quality about this place. Only came here because one of our friends got kicked out of bar A and will never be back

Really sad. I really liked this place. After the beach, I pulled up a table outside, and as they were eating, I saw they'd put down two $20 bills, one $5 bill, and the rest, for a total of $50. Then they kicked us out of the bar and accused us as if we hadn't left the money. It's very dishonest to do this without proof, without evidence. In bad taste.
