Me and my boyfriend went to Marina Grille on January 12th. We ordered shrimp cocktail, tuna nachos, a steak and a pizza. We shared the nachos and shrimp cocktail. I thought the food tasted great. However, when I went home a few hours later that night, I got violently sick. I spent the entire night in the bathroom puking and with diarrhea. I have never been that sick in my life. My boyfriend experienced the same issue. We were both very sick for 2 days. I am extremely disappointed as I spent $170 at this establishment that night. Nothing was wrong with the service, but needless to say I will never be coming back and will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone.

New Years Eve....I work in the service industry, I want to start by saying you took service recovery to another level making it a great experience. With that said we arrived with a party of 5 and we only had a table of 4. Management came and brought another table rectifying it immediately. My filet was ordered Medium, came out rare 3 times when Management came out and cooked it themselves perfectly. Although I do have to say for some odd reason Although alcohol was included..we had to pay $10 each for espresso martinis. We ordered 4. But overall we had a great time and we will be back as always

In summary: we are not really concerned about the serving of alcohol and lack of, yet the threats that came from our waiter and direct discriminatory comments toward a member of our party and overall disrespect.
This is not my perspective, yet a factual-based evaluation of the service that we received at Marina Grille.

READ AS FOLLOWS:

Diner advice: Waiter Sean must be avoided. This experience is one to most definitely take note of when it comes to horrible and disrespectful service that left our party shocked. Waiter Sean in the booth area next to bar exemplified extremely poor customer service(this comes from an easy going group that does not expect much). This waiter presented himself as arrogant, rude, misogynistic, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Sean gave a 24 year old female(a member of our party) a vindictive experience when she attempted to share a glass of sangria with her mother. Instead of politely asking if she was of age, or keeping to a state policy that she must present ID, Sean said a few concerning things that I will note as follows: “If she takes another sip, I’m going to pull all the drinks off of this table”, “My mortgage relies on whether you respect my concern with her drinking tonight”(remember, she is 24 and has proof of this on her person).” He also failed to proof a recently 21 year-old member of our party who had several drinks yet insisted on seeking out harassment of the 24 year old female. The restaurant attempted to cover their end by saying how he was following the rules but in that case, this is a blatant violation of State Law in regard to the young male aswell as clear harassment of a female guest. In an effort to keep the evening classy, we let it go and continued with our night. This waiter then ignored our table for quite some time the remainder of the evening. If any of this is in question, it can be reviewed on the camera footage(perhaps his words can be lip-read). It is important to note that I have kept opinion out of this review and simply stuck to the facts. Sean earned this review and it could have been avoided with simple professionalism. This instance seems to be something so clear and blatantly wrong on Marina Grilles part that I can’t seem to think of any explanation that would be suitable other than doing the mature thing of both acknowledging Sean’s wrongdoing and apologizing on behalf of his downfalls.
Over the years, it has been made clear that Sean is just that kind of person that customers typically find unpleasant (I’ve confirmed this with other locals).
Opposed to the restaurant professionally responding to our concerns, quite the opposite has occurred. It’s truly a-shamet that a place like this who is a guest to Belmar(the restaurant is just a rental tenant to the borough) treats its residents Iike we were treated.

Went last week for Dinner with Santa! It was phenomenal……the decorations are beautiful and the Santa was the best ever!! He was so sweet and patient with the kids that ever if they were afraid initially, they were climbing on his lap buy the end of the evening! I can’t rave enough about what a fun experience it was. Sign us up for next year!!

They started decorating for the holidays and it looked amazing!!

Fish Tacos shrank by 2/3rds. Tiny piece of fish with some lettuce, tiny sprinkle of 1/2 tsp avocado, 1/2 tsp pico, touch of crema, no beans, no cilantro, no rice, etc. oh yeah, a few thin radish slices. I think they should have said they were out of ingredients. I should have complained. A trainee with no supervision? Server should have noticed, but, well, lunch servers want tables with lots of drink orders
