We heard alot good things about the place and saw the reviews. The food was ok, don't remember what ordered, that to days alot. The waitress was good but the food took an hour to come out and it was subpar. Thr atmosphere was nonexistent felt like we were eating at a food court.

We visited Mr. Shrimp two days ago, and it was hands-down one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. As for the food — absolutely outstanding! Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The shrimp (of course!) was cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. We especially loved the Fish and Chips, which was a true standout. You can tell they put real care into both the ingredients and the preparation. Whether you're a seafood lover or just in the mood for a quality meal with great service, Mr. Shrimp is definitely worth the visit. We’re already looking forward to going back soon!

First time back in years. The last time it was a small store front many moons ago. Now the place is new, clean and efficient. We had ordered Lobster Bisque, New England Clam Chowder, raw clams on a half shell and fish 'n chips. I recommend the raw clams and fish 'n chips. Fresh and well above average. The NE Clam Chow could be better; it was too watery. The lobster bisque has a tomato base, not my style of liking. I will be back, and I recommend this place.

Really great seafood spot in Belmar. The food is incredible, but the decor and ambiance are definitely mediocre. However if you’re looking for great seafood dishes in a more causal setting, I would recommend Mr Shrimp. The oysters were delicious, as were the New England clam chowder and complimentary crab dip. My entree of the stuffed flounder was amazing- the flounder was soft and flakey, the crab stuffing had great flavor, and the rice was a good side. The mashed potatoes were also delicious, and we got a side of yummy tartar sauce. And just a heads up that Mr Shrimp is BYOB. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food.

Fish and Chips was watery, greasy, and not seasoned with anything, not even salt, same with fish sandwich, no seasoning and watery. Onion sticks were great, coleslaw was good, and fries were decent. Wouldn't recommend the first 2 items, that I stated.
