First time back in years. The last time it was a small store front many moons ago. Now the place is new, clean and efficient. We had ordered Lobster Bisque, New England Clam Chowder, raw clams on a half shell and fish 'n chips. I recommend the raw clams and fish 'n chips. Fresh and well above average. The NE Clam Chow could be better; it was too watery. The lobster bisque has a tomato base, not my style of liking. I will be back, and I recommend this place.
Really great seafood spot in Belmar. The food is incredible, but the decor and ambiance are definitely mediocre. However if you’re looking for great seafood dishes in a more causal setting, I would recommend Mr Shrimp. The oysters were delicious, as were the New England clam chowder and complimentary crab dip. My entree of the stuffed flounder was amazing- the flounder was soft and flakey, the crab stuffing had great flavor, and the rice was a good side. The mashed potatoes...
