We walked into this Playa bowls not closing any time soon, and we were rudely dismissed. They told us they didn’t have a juicer??? There is manyyyy juices on the menu?? Do they supply them with juicers? Or NOT!?!!?!! 🤨🤨This was outrageous, the service was horrible. I bet if we asked for a playabowl they would claim they didn’t sell them. Listen I work in a coffee shop, do u think I dismiss people when I don’t want to make their drink????? NO! THAT IS RUDE!!!?!?😡😡😡😡 We will neverrrrr go back, this place just lost a local loyal (currently distraught and throughly disappointed) customer!

I really want to love this smoothie spot because it used to have such a warm, welcoming vibe, but lately it’s been disappointing. Every time I walk in, no one greets me. I usually see an employee on their phone or behind a laptop, standing far from the front of the store, and it just feels uninviting. On top of that, they stopped playing the surfing/snowboarding videos that have always made the place feel fun and energetic. Now the TV is usually playing movies or tv shows, which takes away from the original vibe that made this spot special. Overall, it feels like the store has lost its touch and the welcoming atmosphere it used to have. I really hope they bring back the energy and customer service that made it stand out.

The place is very clean considering how busy it gets. But the staff is very rude and service is slow. I came in around 6:30 PM and it took around 10 minutes to get a single bowl. Also, the girl that took my order seems very exasperated and annoyed that I was ordering. I understand being tired at work, but as a person who has worked in food service for 4+ years, you should know it’s just common courtesy to at least put on a friendly face. I was also not helped when I asked for a bag to put my food in.

the employees here were great but they are SEVERELY understaffed. everyone waited 45+ minutes for their bowls. this is right off the beach so obviously it’s going to be crazy busy so it makes no sense why the managers knowingly schedule too few people to keep up with demand. definitely won’t be going back

I ordered a 14 dollar Nutella bowl online. They barely gave me any açaí and I paid for extra Nutella for them to drizzle even less. My bowl is halfway full and I haven’t even touched it. This is actually embarrassing. Never coming to this playa bowl again.
I absolutely loved their smoothies and açaí bowls! The perfect treat for a hot summer day. I highly recommend the tropical smoothie super refreshing and not overly sweet.

I typically LOVE Playa Bowls and had never been to this location. Obviously, on a 100• day it will be packed (which is an understatement), but we waited 50 min for 4 bowls. At one point they did all the online and door dash orders in front of the in-person customers instead of having a dedicated person working on those to-go orders separately. Additionally, their portions were much smaller than other locations. I took someone there for her first time today. Sadly, she wasn’t impressed after I hyped it up so much. Wish I had taken pictures of the portions but we were so hungry by the time they came out that we scarfed them down.

I always go to playabowl it’s my go to summer spot however this location had the most rudest employees me and my friends had a terrible experience we went in an hour before closing time and still had terrible service despite us going in with a good attitude and being very nice, unfortunately out energy wasn’t reciprocated, two of the employees we’re slamming doors and making nasty faces while making our orders even when asked if everything is okay out of concern they responded in a aggressive way saying that they had a long day and when asked nicely to fix something in my order while they were making it they refused saying they couldn’t which made me have to ask another employee which was working at the time, I would appreciate if the manager could speak to the employees about customer service I honestly would’ve asked for a refund for mine and my friends order but didn’t wanna go through their attitudes again.

I drove down to the beach with my friends this past week for a girls beach day, been to playa before and it’s usually fine but I decided to order the aloha smoothie, I paid like 9 dollars for it which was fine, but the guy that was there taking my order didn’t say anything and didn’t even tell me when I could swipe my card then flipped the screen around asking for a tip I didn’t tip, and he walked away and gave me the NASTIEST. Look ever from back in the place and I was confused?.. and then I got my smoothie and it legit just tasted like watered down banana tasted no flavor, not sweet whatsoever, and none of the other ingredients so I was at that point annoyed. I was very visibly upset with my order and made my friends try and we all thought it was disgusting! So I wanted to get a refund and I was standing there waiting to tell them for over 10 minutes and I was ignored! Like what? Then I chucked it out in front of them and tried ordering a bowl which was MUCH better. But when I ordered it, he forgot I was just in his line a second ago (there wasn’t a big line so I had just left and gotten back) and asked for a tip again. Idk if I was working there I would at least acknowledge a person was coming back in line for something else after chucking a full drink I just got right in front of him. All of the girls who worked there we incredibly sweet but the one guy had no sense of how to treat or talk to people it seemed. But I will never be going to this location again.
