love the food...but don't go if you are looking for service. We stop there to and from our trips to the poconos. Service is hit or miss. Yesterday, a bus of kids were there...and the one woman staff member was in RUDE mode. Sure they were busy but it's no call for being rude. If you can't handle the business, don't work there. It’s a perfect survivor of a bygone era, no nonsense roadside family food, good service, doesn’t cost a fortune to feed a family. First time I stopped there after rafting the Delaware with 11 people, (7 kids, four adults) nobody had cash but me and I was worried I couldn’t feed the entire hungry hoard with a c note I found in my wallet. Instead we crushed hot dogs, chips, root beer, floats, pickles… we feasted and still left with change....
Classic local hot dog stand with that old-school neighborhood feel. The dog was simple and traditional with mustard, onions, and a pickle spear ā which some folks will appreciate for keeping it classic. Personally, Iād love to see a few more topping options like sauerkraut or chili cheese, and maybe some light music in the background to add to the vibe. Still a nice spot to grab a quick dog and support a longtime local place. š
