A very small restaurant with a nice menu. The food was excellent and the design of the restaurant was very cozy and interesting. Take note, their hours are tight. We've been trying to make it here for lunch for years, we cut down our Christmas tree at a local tree farm every year, but the restaurant only serves lunch from 12-2 and starts serving dinner at 5, we never seem to get there in time. When I was a kid in the 50's, our family had a summer cabin on the Delaware River at Foul Rift PA. About once a week we would head to Belvidere to shop at the A & P (long gone), check in the hardware store (burned down), the post office by the Pequest and the butcher shop up the hill (all long gone). If my grandmother was with us we would finish at Buglioli's Palace of Sweets, a 1930's style ice cream parlor with big slow moving overhead fans. That too was closed...
This charming jewel offers a limited menu of unique and delicious offerings which will appeal to every palette. The crab cakes, a menu staple, are mounts of sweet, tender crab meat with no filler. The Swiss chard enchiladas were a tasty twist on an old favorite. Diners are welcome to BYOB.
