Not “real” corned beef. No deep red color. Seems like cold cuts heated up. Pastrami also seems just passable. High prices.Nice bread section. Definitely not a Jewish Deli. Pastrami and corned beef inferior to real Jewish delis.

Been here twice now. First trip had a very tasty Rueben. A bit heavy on the dressing and a touch light on the meat for a $10 sandwich with no fries or chips. Second trip had a special pastrami sandwich with cherry peppers, etc. It was delicious. Same comment re meat and price applies. Thus the VG rating.

Snuggled on the backroads of Berkeley Heights, NJ is Pastrami House. Travel to this location and some of it's views were indeed an awesome excursion. Ordered: Large Pastrami on Rye with Russian Dressing, Mustard, Side of Cole Slaw and a Pickel. Of course I couldn't help but top my sandwich with the Cole Slaw which totally made it even more awesome! The meat was a substantial stack, yet very tender and edible with little excess fat. The bread was soft. Overall this large style is a medium sized sandwich and just enough to be filling without having to take any partition home. The environment was quiet and cool and the staff was very friendly when taking the order. We ate indoors although there is an outdoor seating option. The restaurant was clean and tables included app ordering via QR code from the table. I would recommend Patrasmi House although our onion rings were forgotten, the sandwich was more than enough that the rings were an afterthought

Second time here and once again I am thoroughly pleased with my hot pastrami sandwich. The rye bread held up to a well portioned sandwich of hot pastrami and mustard. Delicious! My wife had hers with Russian Dressing which she really enjoyed. My only complaint was that the pickle should be a whole pickle and be a sour pickle. We also got 2 Kinishes (Kasha and Potato). Both were very yummy. They have outdoor seating. Juniors cheesecake and Nasto's ice cream. You can't go wrong here in this lovely Pastrami House. Nice people and local give them a try you'll be glad that you did. Sorry no pic was starving.

Tried PH for the first time today and maybe I should've ordered the pastrami. The mac and cheese for my daughter was not really good. The blend of cheeses were eh and it was bland. I guess I thought the turkey was an actual roasted turkey and not deli meat so was disappointed about that. But at least my expectations are adjusted now. And you can get a much heartier turkey sandwich at a nearby deli for same price. The mini knishes and coleslaw were very good. The beef barley soup was VERY good. The rice pudding needs to be less sweet by a couple of notches but it was and nice and creamy. Even my kid said it was too sweet so we could only handle a few bites. I would go back to try other items.

A traditional Jewish deli with unique offerings. We've not actually dined in here, but have gotten takeout from here. The sandwiches are really good. You can still get your traditional pastrami sandwich, but you can also get a not your run of the mill Reuben (turkey!) here. You can't go wrong with the big Meech, the pastrami egg rolls, or the potato lakes!

Great Pastrami Quesadilla at a great price. Made me crave more. Then I got the "Big Meech" roast beef panini and it was fantastic. Also, when picking up their time estimates are spot on to the minute.

My husband and I loved our lunch. His corned beef was melt in your mouth tender and so tasty on fresh rye. I ordered a bowl of matzoh ball soup with noodles. It was not traditional, but I thought it was great lots of veggies and chicken. Matzoh balls were yummy. Add in delicious potato pancakes and rice pudding and we are hooked. We will be back very soon.

First order placed via DoorDash app. I ordered a "Square Potato Knish Sandwich Square potato Knish cut in half and made into a sandwich of your choosing" I chose Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato and Onion. A note for Russian Dressing and Mustard on the side. I received a potato knish... no sandwich, no pastrami, no lettuce, no tomato, no onion... So I placed a second order from doordash.com (laptop) and selected all of the above on the sandwich, noting the extra charge for tomato and cheese ($0.25 and $1.00). I submitted it. I immediately noticed that the options weren't on the details of the submitted order, so I called the restaurant, hoping that it still communicated to them correctly. It didn't, however, she was able to manually note the missing items to be added to the order. Fast forward... Order arrives timely. The sandwich is tiny, cold and limp. I'm a chef and can easily spot 7oz. it was maybe 4, at best. no tomato, two slices of onion and little lettuce, almost $16. I called the restaurant and spoke to the same woman who seemed to initially act as if we didn't just speak minutes before to confirm the sandwich request. She said, "oh I'm sorry". No way to rectify it. Offer a corrected THIRD sandwich be delivered or for me to pick up. Sad, because I work locally and heard great things. But I most certainly will not be back. I can't even say it was a DoorDash issue entirely, DoorDash refunded me fully for both orders and added $10 for the inconvenience. I will not be coming back here. Waste your lunch hour here if you dare. I'm beyond pissed over such foolery.

Unfortunately they didn't get my order right. Roasted turkey sandwich was Was not eaten. Dry turkey on a unflattering roll. No cheese or dressing on the side like it was ordered. Pastrami over cooked and dry, no mustard givin that I ordered on the side. The other sandwich was ok. Salads were good. Last thing why all the nickel and dimeing on this roll add this that roll add that. This cheese add this, that cheese add that..R U kidding me. Sorry for the negative review but it's honest. Update. The owner Jon reached out and credited a portion of the bill and was willing to make it right. That shows class.
