Really fun little spot at Berkeley Heights for a sweet treat on a hot day! The frozen custard is creamy and delicious, and the variety of Italian ice flavors is impressive. Service is quick and friendly — great for a casual stop with kids or friends. Just one heads-up: the Italian ice melts very quickly — mine turned into sugary water in no time. Still, overall a nice experience — just eat fast.
Some dude teenage boys working the counter. They had been touching everything, picking stuff off the ground, and then grabbing the inside of cups. I asked them to wear gloves when preparing the food and they said no. I mentioned the last time I came the girls working wore gloves. Their response was that it was their choice.
One guy at least washed his hands, the other one was rude. For to let that kid find a new job and learn to be professional.
The gelotti was very good and the staff was very courteous.

Rita has always been my favorite spot to eat frozen custards and ice creams, but recently, I discovered this Rita here in Berkeley Heights, and it is such a good spot. There is plenty of parking right in front of it so that you sit in a car and enjoy it. Service is quick and efficient, and ice creams are amazing as always.

Got to the restaurant and was told the custard machine is down, then they later closed and I saw through the manager make a custard cone. Overall pretty upset with that because this was the 3rd choice and they still sold.
