I come here specifically for the lean pastrami sandwich. My opinion is this is the best in this area. I highly recommend giving Goodmans a try. You won’t be disappointed. Trust me I have no personal gains by touting Goodmans I just think their pastrami is
We came in with six people which for a small deli was a challenge! But they met the challenge. Food was great. My husband and I split a large pastrami and that was very satisfying. Could not believe their matzah ball was as light as mine!!

In the decade I've known my husband, who grew in Mountainside and is a frequent visitor to Goodman's, he only JUST took me to try their incredible sloppy joe corned beef sandwich. I was offended he waited this long. WOW. It was worth the $18 to make it "lean" because corned beef can be fatty and these sandwiches can be heavy. This was absolutely perfect - I love the half sour & sour combo of pickles they give you on the side. Can't wait to be back!
