The joint is great looking.
The service (at the bar is pretty bad)
The food is almost average.
While sitting at the bar I watched the male bartender with the hipster man bun, ignore all the customers with the exception of twin younger girls at the corner of the bar. I watched the second female bartender keep running her hands through her hair, tick in her shirt right in front of me, and then staring cherry juice from a large container into a squeeze bottle then lick her fingers, grab a glass of someone a beer. Not even a thought of washing her hand or wearing gloves. HACCP rules be damned. She then argued with a customer that just wanted to leave. Told him more than once that if he was in a hurry he should not have ordered a second beer.
Just bizarre attitude and behavior.
Food is over priced for what you get. Go anywhere else for a good meal and average service.
We been coming to Trap Rock for 2 decades. The place is spotless clean and super friendly. Had the blessing of being taken care of by Tina. She has the most amazing personality and makes you feel like a long lost relative. Each dish is crafted with the freshest ingredients providing multiple tastebud orgasms. I love the fact that they update the menu regularly so that you have plenty of options to explore each time you come. I also have to give credit or credit is due to the bartending team. The Harry Potter of mixologist’s must’ve been working last night. The libations were outstanding. Treat yourself and go today. God Bless America! Gods Bless Blue & Gold! Remember Everyone Deployed Everyday!
Lunch was great! I got the soup, salad, sandwich lunch special and it was perfect!
Good ambiance . But they serve very little food very pricey. It tasted just okey .I think that I wil notl go back. The four people in the party were really disappointed
Seems like the restaurant went downhill. Went there Sunday 18th night, waited one hour for not so good food, at least not as usual. Many selections were not available. A medium rare steak turned into medium well, tacos soggy, halibut with the same taste when you microwave it, fries soggy. Sounds like problems in the kitchen. Beer was good as usual though.
Beautiful restaurant, amazing food and great drinks!
I am here now, and the food is outstanding
I am giving this place 4 stars even though I whole heartedly don’t believe they deserve them. The ambiance was warm and cozy, our waiter (Cameron) was charming and attentive but knew when to leave us be, the alcohol options are a plenty. Unfortunately the food was just about the worst meal I can remember having in a long time. Everything was cooked to perfection but utterly bland and tasteless. Absolutely no flavor or depth to it and we spent $150 to essentially leave home still hungry.
Another excellent dinner and enjoyable evening at the Trap Rock!

Lovely little pub with beer flights and cocktails! Favorite local lunch spot for celebrations.

We have visited Trap Rock many times and have had birthday celebrations over the years. And the quality of the food keeps disappointing us. We recently went to Trap Rock and again we were disappointed. The restaurant by itself has a great ambiance. However the food and the service was underwhelming. The food was extremely under seasoned and bland. The service was
extremely slow and the server had to keep apologizing for all his mistakes.
Sadly we are taking a rest from Trap Rock
Best Beer in Jersey!
Great service very inviting, good beer made onsite, hot chicken sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. Definitely going back
OMG!!! Trap Rock did NOT DISAPPOINT! Scott was the BEST BARTENDER! He treated his craft cocktails with artistry and finesse! John was also very attentive! The food was YUMMY! We ordered calamari and burrata and were members of the clean plate club. We will definitely be back!
While traveling we found this brewery that also consideres itself a fancy restaurant. Pretty much no one was there when we arrived and I stated several times we're just here for the brewery but they kept trying to get us to order expensive food until we got so annoyed we decided to get a four pack and go. I've been to many high quality breweries and never paid $40 for a 4pk. Are you kidding me? Avoid at all costs.
