The Shady Rest Restaurant in Bayville is a cozy spot known for its outstanding, flavorful food and excellent service. It has a charming country vibe at the Jersey Shore and is recognized as an oldie but goodie. The pizza is particularly praised for its thin, crispy crust and generous toppings, making it a favorite among visitors. The restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with a home-like atmosphere and is highly recommended. Recently, the restaurant provided a delicious Thanksgiving dinner, and the servers worked hard to ensure everyone received their food on time. Guests can enjoy sitting outside by the water, which adds to the relaxing experience. The grounds are beautiful, filled with roses, lounge chairs, and statues, enhancing the laid-back feel. The staff in the kitchen and the dining areas contribute to a fun atmosphere. Although it has the charm of a dive bar that hasn't changed much since it opened in the 60s, it is popular enough that reservations are recommended. In addition to the pizza, the menu features surprising dishes like stuffed flounder and addictive Parmesan potatoes. A margherita is a must-try, with many guests suggesting that having two could be a bit impairing. All of the food served at Shady Rest is delightful.
