New Ling Ling Asian Cuisine Riverwalk

The staff were not very friendly. When we entered the place the old lady behind the counter acted like she was lifting weights by getting off her chair to take us to our table. Then the waiter came by and had an attitude of his own and when we told him about allergies he seemed to not understand so we repeated them and he snapped back at us that he understood the allergies. The food was good but their prices are high. They also charge an 3% surcharge if you use a credit card. Our two meals for lunch was over $50, to me for Chinese food that is expensive even in these times.

I am lazy. Ling Ling is 2 minutes from my house and pretty much the only game in town. Nonetheless, I always kick myself after ordering from here. It is either “adequate” or “mediocre” depending on the particular dish. In fairness, there is no better within a 30 minute drive but still ……

I did the takeout if the jumbo shrimp with broccoli! Very tasty and fresh, a nice brown sauce, not too salty!!

Food was alright. The service was terrible. Waiter refused to answer question about what looked like crackers on the table (we have a dietary limitation). Kept saying try them out, eat them if you like or leave them if you don’t like. I had to ask 3 times and explain that we can’t just ‘try’ them to see if we like them, we have a dietary restriction and need to know before we try them if they have pork / beef in them.

Very polite crew
