Was looking for local cafés & decided to come and check this place out after seeing the positive reviews. The owner and his daughter are so welcoming and kind! I love the layout here, there’s outdoor seating, a wide selection of flavors for drinks, free books, and I also happened to stop in on a day where they had live music! Family owned & LGBTQ+ friendly, the atmosphere was very comfortable. I got a lavender matcha latte & It was great. Love the experience, love the vibe!

On the face of it, this is a pretty nice place. No complaints about the food or coffee. My only complaint is the older gentleman behind the counter. Not a nice person. Gave me a really, really bad attitude. Will never return.

Hands down my very favorite coffee shop! Easy parking, excellent beverages, and always plenty of places to sit. The no cell phone or Zoom call policy keeps the atmosphere tranquil and peaceful for all. My go-to reading spot on weekends! Thank you Hodge for creating such a a hidden gem😁
I like the drinks here, but unfortunately the owner and manager are just rude and strange. I have been warned by other individuals about how rude they are but I have expereinced rude behavior twice here and choose not to come aagin for those reasons. As someone who was a regular customer who frequently brought new guests to this shop, I really enjoyed sitting at the tables near the front the shop with the windows. Unfortunately, if you sit there alone, you will be asked to move to a different part of the coffee shop even when the entire place was EMPTY! Even after I moved, the owner came up to me and continued to try to argue with me and asked me why " I could not follow directions." I kindly moved when they asked me, and as a frequent customer I find is sad that I was met with such a rude attitude for just trying to enjoy working on a table next to the windows versus in the back of the shop. Personally, I would go elsewhere because there is a strange vibe here.

The owner who is behind the counter always must have some sort of anger issue cause he was so rude to me today and always is. I have been there 3 times now and everytime get a bad attitude and a rude comment. I felt very unwelcome there and would definitely not recommended going to this cafe. He just stands there and watches you like a hawk too. Coffee isn’t that great either

Came in to order a coffee but ended up somehow buying a lecture from the old grumpy man behind the counter. Read the reviews after and realized the owner has a an anger issue. Next time I feel like getting lectured by a washed up old man, I know where to go but i certainly won’t be coming back for the coffee.

Great coffee joint. Front counter is super friendly and quick with drinks. Food is a little pricey BUT it's great quality so it doesn't hurt.
And those cinnamon scones are so good it's absolutely criminal.
Great place to work on your laptop, clean environment, and outdoor seating.
