While up scale prices, the taste was great and the portions large.
Cute little spot with a lot of charm. Food and service were good. We’ll definitely be back.

I want to thank the owner, Andrea, and her staff for an amazing dinner experience. She and her staff were very nice and attentive to our needs. Food was good from the appetizers to the main course. My husband had steak, yellow rice, and brussel sprouts . I had a rack of lamb and garlic mashed potatoes . The food was cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in NJ.

Arturo made this historic family-owned restaurant into a truly “ at home “experience with its delicious dishes. The meat cuts are fantastic—dare I say, even better than Mama’s butcher! It’s definitely a local spot worth revisiting.

A lovely family owned restaurant with great service and yummy food & drinks. My husband enjoys the burger medium with everything and I am a bg fan of the fish tacos which comes with rice and beans.
Our friends enjoyed the steak and lamb chops. If there is ever a problem with any of the food they will address it immediately and with kindness. The owners walk around to make sure everyone is enjoying their meals and are always attentive.
Great place to enjoy a quick happy hour cocktail or a great meal.

Do not waste your energy and hard earned money at this restaurant. We’ve been looking forward to trying this place, but left extremely disappointed and will not be coming back.
It took a while to any employee to interact with us. Finally a young waitress, meek and coy, came over and took our drink and appetizer order.
Service was extremely slow. What seemed like a fine dining restaurant was simply causal and lacking attention to detail.
We ordered the Clams Casino to start. They were overpowered by bacon and lacked any other flavor. Only one piece had flavor and breadcrumbs on top. My partner, excited for me to finally try clams casino, said this was a horrible first experience. We don’t recommend ordering the Clams Casino if you decide to attempt Bloomfield Steakhouse.
Our waitress was nowhere to be found, we had to remind her we needed to order. The salads came out during the appetizer and crowded the table. The salad is overly bitter and croutons are quite stale- has to pass on the salad and it was a shame to waste all that food. They filled the plates so much that the table behind us was dropping stale croutons on the floor too.
We ordered the crab stuffed flounder and the 1/2 ribs/shrimp for our entrees and they were dry. The ribs did not fall off the bone and needed to be ripped with your teeth/cut off the bone. The founder was dry and hard to eat. The mashed potatoes did not have garlic flavor and the baked potato was the only decent thing. I’ve had better ribs at Chilis; it’s quite embarrassing coming from an expensive steakhouse. The fried shrimp seemed like it was frozen, which might’ve been why it was the only other semi-decent thing on the plate. Still, hard to chew. Everything is so expensive but there’s such a lack of attention to detail and to reiterate the service was disappointing.
We noticed the table to the right of us get the attention of their server during their meal and the woman said her meat is over cooked and her partners fish is dry. The menu specifically states not to order things medium well and over nice it will affect the dish. After the Maitre D put the menu down to see if the lady wanted to order anything, the man was done with his food by the time anyone came back to see if she wanted to eat dinner tonight. They said no and left with 20% off and an empty stomach. We found it interesting that the restaurant wasn’t doing too hot for a Saturday night… a night where you’re expected to excel as it’s a weekend and most likely their busiest times. It was embarrassing for their business to experience for our first time here.
The Maitre D stopped my partner on the way back from the restroom to ask about our disappointment that we mentioned to our server. We were confused why she couldn’t approach our table directly. We felt we weren’t taken seriously and it’s probably due to our younger age. It was unprofessional that she couldn’t come out to the table and address our issues. Then she had the valor to compare our issue to the table next to us. She suggested that we only admitted there was an issue because they did, but the poor job of the kitchen that night showed a reflection of their business. Sometimes, the customer is right. However, we were complaining out loud and between ourselves since we sat down and had no idea the table next to us was having issues as well. Simply an off night, we assume. My partner told her that “it’s okay, sometimes you have off nights”. The manager said “that’s weird, we don’t have off nights”. After that interaction as my partner was trying to relieve himself, we sat for another 10 minutes with an empty table before our waitress gave us our bill. Nobody brought up the interaction by the host stand to our table. The fact our issue was addressed that way showed us how serious they take dissatisfaction from their patrons and how low they value them.
Not only was the service poor, the f

Best meal I've had in a while! Ambience is warm and lively with attentive service. The restaurant has a very vacation-like feeling with a live band playing outside. Parking lot is very tight, but there is street parking, too. The ribeye and crab cakes were amazing. We will be back!

Just a outstanding steak house. The food is five star and so is the service. They have live music from time to time on the patio. We had such a enjoyable evening. It's a must visit if you are in the Bloomfield area.

I debated if I should write a review or not, but after speaking with several of my guests I decided I should. I had a surprise party here for my son, and they told me I had to use the upstairs room. The upstairs room is an attic and the ceiling where the guests are seated is sloped, so guests had to keep bending down in order to reach their seats. I had a sit-down dinner, and was told that the chafing dishes that were set up for buffet would not be there the day of my party, and I could use the tables that they were on for decoration, games etc. When I arrived the chafing dishes were set up and I was given a hard time about removing them so I could use the tables. I will say that the serving staff were wonderful and I did tip them additional in the end as I felt they did a good job. The food was another story. For my appetizers the pasta, and the garlic shrimp were cold when they came out. The stuffed mushrooms were room temperature. Calamari was hot. For the salad course mine was fine, but one guest told me his had no dressing, and others told me theirs was soggy. Two people sent back their prime rib as it was too rare. It took 20 minutes to come back out. Dinners included cheesecake and coffee. Neither was served because I brought my own outside birthday cake in. When I told them I still wanted the cheesecake served, they brought out a few slices family style, but not enough for everyone. Coffee was only given to people who asked for it, and was not put on the tables. My original deposit was never deducted from my total bill at the end. I had to ask for it and it was returned to me in cash. I wouldn't recommend.
