Grew up in Montclair/Bloomfield area (so much so I used to call it ‘Mike’s’ and it’s sad to see how much this place fell off. Older woman working the grilled literally groaned out loud when I asked her for egg whites and then complained when I asked to have the bagel toasted in the toaster instead of on the grill.Mind you it’s completely empty in here besides me. ?

Bagels small and hard with burnt toppings, sandwiches made with 1 sad egg, and the place smells funny. 2 stars for friendly service and delicious vegetable cream cheese.

A favorite since childhood and going to school across the street. The food is still solid and reasonably priced. My go-to when I'm home.

The Goldie is one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches

It used to be one of the best bagel shops in the Montclair/Bloomfield area. Presently it wallows seeking culinary direction. The dozen bagels we purchased were hard and hardly edible. If you risk buying a sandwich here opt for a roll. The cashier was pleasantly rude, smiling and disengaging of any helpful criticism. Our last visit we immediately left because of the odor from a broken fridge. Whomever owns this place needs help ASAP to return this classic local establishment to its former glory. Eat here with caution.

If I could give it no stars that’s exactly what they would get! Sucks how one person can make a business look bad! The young lady who works the cash register with the ponytail and glasses is very rude. Customer service is horrible! At times she act like she doesn’t want to service you, she’s not every welcoming..: she really makes the business bad! Great food BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

You go here for the bagels, sandwiches and the best lox cream cheese around. And the friendly service from the girls at the register (I believe the owner is a bit grumpy) ... Don't go here for decor since it has not changed since it probably opened.

Bangin’ Taylor Ham Egg & Cheese! Best grease spot around for old school Jersey food!

Convenient to go to since it is in walking distance, and the breakfast sandwiches are not horrible, but they're nothing to brag about either. There are other better options that are usually worth the drive, but since this place is close I will stop in every now and then. Staff is pretty friendly, they just need to step up their food a bit.

Amazing bagels baked fresh daily, and they have so many flavors-- the jalapeno cheddar bagel is my favorite. They have great breakfast sandwiches too, and lately they have had some new sandwiches, one has chimichurri that's sooo good and fresh, order that one! But all of the sandwiches sound so tasty.

Picked up 150lbs of dry ice pellets and grabbed a breakfast sandwich at 7am. Sandwich and service where great! Came back the next day for more dry ice and grabbed one of the best fresh baked bagels that I've tried in NJ/NYC in at least 5 years. Highly recommend!
