For starters, careful if you go on a weekend for lunch. The place was slammed and it took me 40 mins to get a cheesesteak. My fault, I should have ordered ahead. Be warned though, this is not a quick stop kind of place.
Staff was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the new school cheesesteak as is. The flavors were solid. You could taste all of the ingredients and the steak was high quality. I found the seeded bread to be a nice touch and it was soft with a good chew. The texture of the beef and cheese combo was not my favorite though. It was very one note, somewhere between mushy and chalky. It wasn’t bad. It was just different. I think it was the cooper cheese they use. The sandwich held up really well and wasn’t messy at all. But I think I missed the messiness and drippy-ness of a traditional Philly cheesesteak. But I get it. This is “new school”.
The interior is nothing to write home about, with a few 2-3 seater tables. Most people were taking their orders to go, as did I. Not many options for waiting around either, so just ended up waiting in my car.
Overall, a solid sandwich and at a decent price point. I want to go back to try the old school and the roast beef sandwich.

Great cheesesteak, was expecting more out of it by the reviews but it was good for what it was!!! Out of the copper cheese and cheese whiz cheesesteak I would choose the copper cheese one.

Amazing cheesesteaks at a reasonable price! We heard about this spot on social media and wanted to check it out for lunch since it was close by. The guy at the counter was very friendly and asked if we had any questions about the menu. We ended up ordering the buffalo chicken and new school cheesesteaks. Both were very tasty!
Buffalo chicken cheesesteak - packed full, had extra chicken spilling out on to the side which I love! Delicious and a little spicy just how I like it
New school cheesesteak - seasoned well, loved how every bite was the perfect combo of melted cheese and meat!

Great sandwich. The quality of the food is top tear. Went on a Saturday for a quick pickup, and boy was that a mistake. The place was jammed packed. It took over an hour for my food. I ordered the new school cheesesteak. The bread was nice and soft. The meat was seasoned well, but the cheese for me was overpowering. I will order the old school next time.
Parking: On a busy street. Parking not easy.

Christo's has been blowing up over the last year or so for having a new school and old school style cheesesteak, but I came for this North Shore Beef sandwich. Not familiar with what it is? Well, neither was I. It's a toasted bun with a slice of cheese, stacked high with a quality rare roast beef, slathered in a unique tangy and savory bbq sauce with horseradish and light mayo. *Warning* this sandwich is dangerously messy ? and they even serve it to you with some gloves! I have a hot take. This is probably a top 10 sandwich I've ever had. You can taste every layer of each ingredient through every bite. This is a must try sandwich! Shout out to the staff who were getting slammed during lunchtime, but they were hustling getting orders out. Super friendly customer service. Good food isn't always fast food, and this is worth waiting for!
