Not a fan. Plain slice is $3.25. Cheap ingredients and few spices used; the customer can tell. All the slices seem old. I was there at 1:00 for lunch and all the pies looked like they were sitting all day.
Usually pizzerias have fresh pies coming out all the time and maybe a few pies have been sitting. These have that look like it’s “yesterdays” pies. There’s no way they can look that old if you made them at 10:00 am when you open.
It just isn’t a good look. Not up to the standard of a jersey pie.

The workers behind the counter were polite and efficient. My pizza was warmed up, but I was not a fan of the cheese which had a rubbery texture, nor of the poor quality tomato sauce used. The crust was excellent though, crunchy, chewy, and a hint of salt. Even my cat enjoyed the crust. However, I would visit again based on the fact that it was a clean setting and the workers were smiling and nice. Visited at lunchtime on a weekday. $6.40 for two plain slices to go. Free parking lot in the back which is excellent!!
Parking: Free parking lot around the back. Nice! 😊

Where to start..1. Sent wrong pizza told me to keep the one I didn’t order and and drive back & get the right one in a half hour. Same as others said - Dan / the owner” no refunds”.
2. Parents, also Blfd, order pizza & manicotti each week. My wife & kiddos every Fri 2 pies & app. We’ve been going there religiously since Dan bought the place 20+ yrs. Parents on vacation - I picked up my order went home. Dan’s wife called that my order was waiting. Very nice they had my Dad’s order ready for him…but went down the shore. I got back in my car drove back to get my parents order & pay. 🤔
3. Final straw - every Fri after Cub Scouts picking up 2 pies. Wife & son ordered while I served in Iraq w Army. Now..VFW Post 711 - 100th Anniversary and wanted to order 10 pies w hopefully a 10% discount. Figuring schools, sports must get a discount…standing on Fri night w VFW hat & biz card picking my personal order requested for the next Tues…Dan “NO Veterans Discounts” and scurried to basement. Zi Zia’s took care of the post.

This is worst pizza I've ever received. The place is a joke. Avoid it at all costs.

I’ve had an incredibly disappointing experience with Mario’s Pizza on Broad St. I ordered a pizza through an app at 8:45 PM, well before closing time according to the app. The pizza never arrived, so I called to follow up the next day. To my surprise, they close at 9 PM, and my order apparently didn’t make the cut. Fair enough, but when I called the next day to either get a refund or to have them send my order that night, I was met with rudeness and a total lack of customer service.
The man I spoke with—who I assume is the owner—was dismissive and told me to "take it up with corporate." That’s absurd for a small mom-and-pop shop! There is no corporate, and he refused to either refund my $28 or send my order. It wasn’t a complicated request, just good customer service.
It’s frustrating because I’ve seen this man be friendly with certain customers, but the treatment I received was completely disrespectful. I’ve supported local businesses for years, but this experience has completely turned me off from ever ordering here again. If you want consistent service and respect, I’d recommend going elsewhere.
Racist people. I have been ordering here for years and never have been disrespected like this . Never again.

Unfortunately, the pizza was overcooked, so it was dry and black on the bread crust. Also, it was very salty. The folks behind the counter was very busy and courteous. Won’t be going back though.

Ordered through toast on a day they were closed not realizing. Mario's refused to refund the amount we were charged despite the fact that they were closed that day, and we obviously did not get food. Very rude on the phone. Forced use to dispute through our credit card. Extremely disappointing customer service for a local place. Certainly won't be a customer here anymore.
