SO GOOD AND DELICIOUS ? I’m so glad to have met fellow Montclair State University alum Andrew Barley who told me about his restaurant. I said I would come try it out and I’m not the least bit disappointed and neither will you be anything but fully satisfied. I can’t wait to come back and try more things on the menu which means I will be back A WHOLE LOT! The menu was loaded with mouthwatering choices, including for someone like me who does not eat land animals. My serving size was so ample, I took home half for lunch the next day -- so two meals for the price of one! The staff, owner and his mother, who also works there, were utterly charming and engaging. The prices were remarkably affordable (and that's before you calculate the two meals I got for the price of one). I enjoyed more than a lunch there -- I enjoyed a memorable experience.

We stopped here during a road trip for a quick dinner. Anthony, one of the owners, greeted us at the counter and was very friendly and helpful in recommending vegan dishes. We shared vegan oxtail with rice and peas, vegan jerk kebab, a couple of vegetarian patties, a vegan pizza, and a chocolate shake. Everything was delicious, and the service was great. The shake was excellent! We will definitely come back here the next time we travel through.Vegetarian options: Almost everything they serve can be made vegetarian or vegan.Kid-friendliness: Our kids loved the vegan pizza, vegan chocolate shake, and rice and pigeon peas.

I was in the area on a Sunday and wanted some clean tasty food to try. I found this place (where else) on Yelp. I eat chicken and fish but have been venturing into more vegan. I wondered if this place could measure up to the hype (the grand reviews) about Caribbean flavor and being vegan. I took a chance! I ordered the vegan chicken patty and it was tasty. Just enough flavor. Temp-wise I just needed it hotter. I also ordered the vegan jerk kabobs. They are made with mushrooms. It had just the right amount of spice & flavor. Quite filling as there was a lot. It came with fries as a side. The young girl at the cash register was patient, kind and attentive. Nice little pop into spot in Bloomfield if you're looking for some hardy yet clean Caribbean food.
