A great new spot in Bloomfield! Food is authentic and absolutely delicious! The best Labne I have ever had. The mixed grill was beautifully prepared, generous portion and delectable. Not fancy but a taste sensation! friendly staff and great service. cannot wait to come back!

As a commercial pilot....I've been lucky enough to travel all over the world and try authentic dishes.....well...I can strike Istanbul off my bidding list. The food at Rumi is as authentic as if I was traveling abroad! ALL the dishes are OUTSTANDING. I drool as I pull into the parking lot. The atmosphere is like a 5 star restaurant! The entire staff, from Owner to busboy are seeking to exceed your wants, needs, and expectations!! It's like they have 2 MICHELIN stars, and are seeking their third!! The dinning room is super clean, and cozy, providing for an excellent atmosphere for almost any kind of dining experience. So if you wanna save the 12 hours of travel time and some serious jet lag...take a short trip in a fraction of the time to Rumi in Bloomfield! Definitely worth the trip!!

Pleasantly surprised! While visiting my mom we came in for lunch, service was on point. The decor is so cute and colorful with Mediterranean vibes. Food was delish- the lunch special is such a bang for your buck. The manager was so kind even offered us tea and dessert on the house. The baklava we ordered to go and was also delish. Will definitely be back!

I came here with my sister to catch up and we were amazed by how good the food was. By far, the best Turkish restaurant I tasted outside of Turkey.My sister and I got the lunch special, which is between 12-4pm. It comes with a soup or salad, a cold appetizer, a can of soda and a main listed. I got the soup, acili ezme, coke and falafel with rice. My sister got the salad, baba ghanoush, a soda and a chicken Adana. After lunch was commenced, we got an tres leches to share and a Turkish tea. Everything was so fresh, delicious, and decently priced. Everything together was $50. Service was amazing, we were checked up on often. The owner came out to greet and ask about the food. All the workers were very polite. Would definitely recommend this place to others.
Was out one night with my partner we decided we wanted to grab something to eat, happened to pass by Rumi and decided to go in. I am so happy we did. The food was on the money. We had the Lebni with pita; absolutely fresh and tasty. We each had a gyro wrap. Mine was lamb and my partner had the chicken. Both had plenty of flavor and very filling. We decided to take a look at the desserts on display and take some home. The owner came over to us and explained each dessert to us. As we asked for our desserts to go the owner offered us fresh brewed Turkish tea and a small plate with two cookies. He said it was on the house. I thought this was very thoughtful. We had a very nice conversation with him about the restaurant and everything in between. I will definitely be back. This place is a hidden gem in Bloomfield.
Best falafels I've ever had. Overall, great food and service. Wish the lights were softer for dinner service but overall great nee addition to downtown.

This place couldn't be any more comfortable, elegant and amazing when it comes down to service and the food and the ambiance! If you want to treat yourself to authentic and fresh Turkish meals, plus homemade (prepared on site, no frozen products), fresh desserts, then this is definitely the place to come to! And the tea is made just like it is made in Turkey. Fantastic!
I ordered take out for a family function and customized an order with Rumi. They were very attentive to my requests and prepared it beautifully. AND THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! 10/10 LOVED the falafels and labneh, best I ever had. This might be the BEST Turkish restaurant in NJ/NY and I’ve tried sooo many. Will order again and I hope to dine in some day :)

Everything was perfect, I recommend it, it's an elite place, Mr. Yasin, Mr. Hakan, they are truly professional, they really know what they are doing, they are happy with their smiling faces. We left with the manti. And the liver was superb too.
