Was recommended by a food club for the Scary Good Eats App. It did not disappoint. The Tacos were homemade and full of flavor. Could have been my best taco of 2025. The chips and salsa as a side was fantastic as well. Only thing I didn't like was thr up charges for everything. Lettuce on tacos is more.

The first time I went here I was walking by and it was lunch time and I was a bit reluctant to go inside because I thought it was just a take out kiosk.
I was pleasantly surprised by the tacos I ordered and that they were freshly prepared.
The only issue I have is that you’re not able to order four different kinds of tacos. Meaning you can’t mix and match. It’s in my opinion that I should be able to order what I want and not what’s convenient for them.
Also, the downstairs sitting room is not air conditioned and the huge fan is not particularly sanitary because it’s blowing whatever is in the air onto your food.
I don’t think that the young lady taking your order is an experienced waitress. They never have any ice. I was there in August during one of those days that the temperature was in the 90’s and I had to sit downstairs. I could not finish my lunch because it was so hot and the huge commercial fan was blowing hot air and dust.
This place is not inexpensive and it’s only right for they to provide a comfortable sitting atmosphere.
The food is amazing but the layout needs major improvement specially the stairs going downstairs are very steep. The downstairs room does not have the proper ventilation and the tables are too close together.

The food is amazing, lots of flavor and good portion, the green hot sauce is my favorite, you should try it for sure, the staff is very friendly, the place is small but authentic and nice, it is my favorite Mexican food place, if you have the chance to try it don’t hesitate to go

If it says it's closes at 8 and I'm calling at 7:20 and they're not answering and you go in person and it's 7:35 and they say they're closed might as well just say you close at 7 and not 8 because that makes no sense and it sucks because it's good but the service is ehhhh

I recently had dinner at this place, and I ordered a chicken bowl. Unfortunately, the rice was so hard to chew and burned. I returned the food to the restaurant and was promptly refunded.

The tacos are consistently fresh and flavorful, the staff are attentive and pleasant and my orders are always prepared within the indicated timeframe. My only (minor) complaint is that they are a bit pricey.
I am the one who ordered the horchata, chips and guac, and tacos birria today. Food was ok and you guys delivered pretty quick but dude and you have the driest limes I ever had. I couldn’t even squeeze a drop of juice out of them. Never seen that in all my years eating Mexican food.

It's a hole in a wall type of restaurant, but what they lack in atmosphere, they make it up with delicious food! We love their fish tacos, huaraches, and burritos. Also their salsa and chips are simply delicious, always a good side.
I ordered a California Burrito with carnitas and wow am i disappointed after reading all of these reviews.
I was amazed by how little flavor there was in my burrito and just how unseasoned any of it was. The carnitas had absolutely no seasoning. The California burrito comes with fries on it and they weren't salted either. The only flavor that came through was grease and oil, im guessing from the fries?
The name of the restaurant says it all - this place is definitely catering to the bland pallet of a white foreigner because there is no flavor here.
I give Tacos La Gringa 3 stars only because of their generous portion sizes. The burrito was huge and will certainly fill you up. It's not the worst ever but very bland and easily forgotten. I don't really see a reason to return.
