Tafari Tropics Jamaican Restaurant

Not real jerk chicken it’s baked chicken and i asked for jerk sauce but they gave me chicken grease in a small cup talking bout its jerk sauce. Also barely gave any cabbage or plantains on a $17 meal which was their cheapest meal. No menu or pricing in store so you don’t know what price they’re giving you. Shoulda went to the taco place next door SMH.

Placed an order on DoorDash at 11:45AM. Per the app, pickup time was 12:20PM. I arrived at 12:35PM and the order “wasn’t ready”. I realized that the order had never been made after waiting until 1:15PM for the order to finally come out. No explanation was given. No apology. No compensation for wasting my time. Nothing. The food was good but the service is always sub par.

I cannot say enough about this establishment except EXCEPTIONAL!!!! The hospitality and greeting you get from you walk in the door is five stars alone. The decor is so island vibe you can just sit and take a moment to relax. Now the most important... the food is like no other. Never stingy with portions, and I haven't had one thing from there that did not meet my expectations. The macaroni puts everyone to rest that Jamaicans should not make it bc they have theeeeeeeeee best. The oxtails and curry are seasoned to perfection and taste like your grandma made it. I recommend this restaurant if you are looking for quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Authentic,freshly prepared,light, not overly seasoned but PERFECTLY seasoned food!
The owner was extremely welcoming and attentive. I sat, relaxed, and enjoyed my eats and Afrobeats 🎶 🎵. And then... I fell so deeply in love with their refreshing Soursop Elixir....Whoa! I'll be back....RIGHT BACK😋

I ordered the Curry Goat with a side of fried chicken and it didn't disappoint. The curry goat was tender that gave way to juicy, flavorful meat. For the generous portions and authentic flurs, the prices were very reasonable. The portion was more than enough for a hearty meal. Overall, this restaurant delivers a genuine taste of Jamaica in both its food and atmosphere. BEST 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

While every dish on the menu is bursting with incredible flavor, my personal favorites include the jerk chicken served with rice and peas, topped with either oxtail or cow foot gravy. I also can’t resist the cow foot with rice and peas, the curry goat with white rice, and of course, the oxtail with rice and peas. The variety is endless, and each dish has its own unique, mouthwatering appeal.

And don’t miss out on their natural beverages! The soursop drink, in particular, is a must-try—refreshing and full of island flavor.

The staff also shine with their excellent customer service, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. They are always friendly, attentive, and go out of their way to ensure you feel welcome.
