We've heard really great things about The Brookdale and spontaneously decided to have dinner Saturday night. We were able to reserve a table which was great and it was ready when we arrived. The ambiance is cute, lower lighting, bar with tvs and sort of a chic industrial vibe. It took a while for our server to greet us but service was decent overall. The food and cocktail menus themselves get you excited because they do offer unique options in addition to traditional options...
We have been dining at The Brookdale since they opened, and this was the most disappointing experience so far. The restaurant was not busy, but the wait staff was very lackadaisical and it felt like we were an inconvenience to them. All of the food was so salty, even my salad. So salty that I couldn't eat most of it. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Hopefully it was just a bad day...
This was our first time at Brookdale. The entree food was the best part - everything was well-seasoned / flavorful. Everything else was a bit lacking unfortunately. Drinks? They told my dad they had iced tea and proceeded to bring him a glass of iced water and a tea bag. Food took a while to come out, and while our server was polite, he wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu. It was very loud, so we spent a lot of the meal trying to hear each other.
