food is freezing cold. Management has Uber eats set for 35-45 min with out traffic away. 14 miles . My order has been taking over an hour and a half to arrive. The fault is not on the driver. It is on to greed of the owner operator. Portion size is very small not tasty. Do not order from these guys. There’s better places I feel embarrassed the tip that I gave to my driver because it is not enough for a person like that to survive on delivering. shame shame shame … tryed to call the place to tell them it’s not fair for consumer or driver . i’ve worked in the industry before

I usually order door dash from this restaurant. I should of left this review a few months ago but I didnt. When someone orders food to go or for delivery, IT WOULDNT KILL YOUR RESTAURANT TO SEND SOME CONDOMENTS WITH IT!! Its honestly terrible that you guys never include hot sauce, ketchup, etc.
Not so good. Garlic shrimp was wartery no garlic taste, portions were small.

Yesterday as of August 2, 2025, my son and his girlfriend decided to order a takeout food from this location and asked me if I wanted an order as well. I accept it and ordered 1 half beef/ chicken combo well done with yellow rice and french fries. When it was time to dinner by my surprise, I discovered that the chicken leg was extremely burnt. ☹️
Can the cook in charge make a difference between well done and totally burned? “With the benefits of a doubt” I will make one more tryout with this location. If this same situation repeatedly, occurs I would have to stay far away from it.

I’ve been ordering from The Pit for years the staff is always friendly, and the food is consistently fresh and flavorful. No complaints there at all.
That said, I wanted to give a heads-up for anyone ordering the beef ribs half combo. I recently ordered the same half beef rib(S) and chicken combo I’ve gotten in the past. Typically, when I order the half beef rib(s), I receive 2–3 beef chuck ribs. This time, however, I only received one rib — which was surprising, considering the plural wording and my prior experiences.
I called and spoke with Jeff, who was respectful and upfront. He mentioned that the combo only includes one beef rib and that prices have gone up (which I totally get). Still, based on my regular orders over the years, I’ve never received just one rib until now. Either way, I appreciate his transparency.
So if you’re expecting multiple beef ribs, you may want to reconsider and go for the chicken or pork ribs instead both still come in hearty portions.
To be clear, this isn’t a complaint just advice for fellow regulars or first-timers who may be surprised by the term beef rib(S)with a single rib. I’ve even added pictures in photos comparing what I received vs. the half chicken combo.
Bottom line: The Pit remains a solid spot with delicious food, generous sides, and great service just be mindful of the current beef rib portions when ordering.
