Food - 5 stars Rivals the best spanish food in bergen county. If it were just about food then this would be a 5 star review. All of the stews (beef, oxtail, chicken, etc) are wonderful. Plantains and tostones are great as well. Pernil (shredded pork), 1/2 and 1/4 rotisserie chickens, along with spanish rice, yellow rice and white rice are all unbelievable. Amazing empanadas. But brace yourself for slow cooked chicken and even slower service, hyuck hyuck! Gringos, pay attention to how much you get charged. You WILL be scammed out of a buck or two unless you reference the prices printed on their menu.

This small spot makes incredible chicken. The owners live close, so on cold snowy days they are always open. They also open quite early on weekdays, so getting a hot cup of cafe bustelo is easy. The owners are nice and try to make conversation in English and Spanish. The staff that they have on sometimes don't speak English so they do come off as rude, but I think its just a language barrier.
