This place smells delicious right away, that daily lunch special they have. With the perfect amount of variety, the rice was nostalgically good. Especially the servings of “con con” rice they have. The Tamarind/Tamarindo juice I had with my perfectly roasted chicken, rice and beans. Best chicken croquettes/croqueta I’ve ever had. The dough for the empanadas was super good and tastefully seasoned stuffing.
The food is good, but it doesn't have that Dominican authentic taste. The food is getting a little pricy. I ordered a mofongo with shrimp. The mofongo tasted like boiled mashed platains. Not authentic Dominican mofongo this time. Also, one of the shrimp fell on the floor. The cook picked it up and continued cooking. He did not throw it in the trash. I ordered mofongo with cheese there before, and it tasted right. Another observation is that the restaurant is not very clean...
I always come and get breakfast. I get Mangu with onions, scrambled eggs, fried salami, and a morir soñando.
