These guys don’t like to pay their vendors

This was my first time coming here. Had a meeting with the Gurleys. I ordered my favorite French onion soup and I definitely recommended it was really really good very cheesy and flavorful. I also had a salad with some chicken. That was very nice as well. Very refreshing service was very welcoming.I will come back again .

I ordered dinner from their website for $75.70. When I went to pick up the food I found out they were “temporary closed”. When I called, their mailbox was full. I emailed them and messaged on Facebook, but never heard back. Extremely unprofessional. I had to call my bank and dispute the charge. Never again will I attempt to support this business.

5 years ago, me and my husband met for the first time at this bar on a blind date and have since celebrated every anniversary since (with dates scattered in between the years here-we’ve always enjoyed). This past anniversary our experience was very, very different. Our favorite appetizer we ordered from our first date was off menu this time around, i was feeling a steak-not featured on the menu, ordered a simple vodka pasta with steak (an additional cost on the menu) which i was told they were completely out of steak. Very disappointed with a place me and my now husband have held such a high place for!

The wait staff was very nice and we actually felt bad for them. The place was empty on a Friday night at 7pm. Which should have been the reason to turn around and leave. They were "out of many items on the food and bar menu". Why? The food was diner quality at best. Plastic glasses and cheap utensils. This would have been fine but $43 for a steak seems pricey for the quality of the restaurant. The management should be fired as the location and ambience has such potential. Fire the management and maybe worth giving it another shot.

As a longtime fan of Boonton Staion this place really has taken a dive with the “new” manager. You cannot get a worse Saturday night manager. She spilled the pitas off the plate onto our table, then proceeded to pick them up with her BARE HANDS and puts them back on the plate and walks away like nothing happened. The lovely waitress Dana was nice enough to get us fresh ones. The Romaine salad came out with ice berg lettuce (as if we wouldn’t notice) The chicken was like eating cold, burnt, shards of glass (see photo). The table behind us sent their chicken back to the kitchen. Keep in mind this place is not cheap to eat. The waitresses are all fun and friendly, the manager is not..and looks like she rolled out of bed in a wrinkly flannel shirt. The atmosphere is outstanding but the kitchen “new” manager need and overhaul immediately.

I’m not sure why there are a few haters in the reviews, but this place and excuse my language ( this place fuks !) Not only do they have a excellent menu selection, but the atmosphere outside is elegant, cozy , and beautiful. The Greek salad and Cobb salads are delicious and we really enjoyed the sweet potato fries. You would be a fool to not eat here. ?

Good experience! The atmosphere and the services are great. Our server/bartender Matt was fantastic. The drinks were decent. We tried the Manhattan Up and the seasonal Old Fashioned. The appetizer started out strong. We had the bruchetta and very much enjoyed the mix of flavors. The Ceasar salad was also very good. The entres were okay, in my opinion a bit over priced for the quality, nothing special. Would definitely go again for drinks, especially in the summer! Overall, I give Boonton Station a 3.3 out of 5.

Broccoli was mush. Pork chop was too dry to cut let alone eat. Chicken on salad was dry. Never found the avocado in the avocado bruschetta. Beer was good.

One of the best well-rounded fine dining. Festive and fun. There is seating inside or out all year long.

We ate at this restaurant and the food was mediocre. Nothing special about the burger, chicken parm sandwich, chicken parm dinner and penne absolut. The parm cheese fries had no parm cheese. The wings were good. Food was plain and tasteless. The staff was nice and friendly. We ate on the patio and it was absolutely beautiful. It was clean and nicely decorated. You can watch the train pass by. There are heaters outside, perfect for a fall night and tvs throughout the patio and bar area. Plenty of parking.

Matt the bartender is the best! Really friendly, attentive and accommodating. Great live music! A really fun time.

Review for lunch on Labor Day weekend 2023: - it was fairly empty on a busy holiday weekend - place looks dated but it's because it's an old train station - plentiful portions of food and I do have a good appetite! Just having their cod entree filled me up. - spicy margarita with salted rim was good on a hot day; they do have a lot of alcohol in it so maybe just 1 drink is enough! Suggestions on improvements: - maybe have new tables or plates to spruce up the restaurant - advertise a little more - train younger staff on how to greet people; we love our server but seemed she didn't get training to introduce herself/tell us her name, let us know if there are any specials of the day, etc. She was fine later but again, maybe training would be helpful for newer staff. This place has so much potential; would like to see it flourish!

Horrible horrible food. Save your money. Mc Donald’s has better food then this place. Although, the employees are 110% TOP NOTCH. Great people, but whoever runs it, doesn’t know anything about restaurants. I’m assuming the owner knows nothing about business.
