First of all, it is cute and cozy, but not dark or cramped. It's a house that has been converted to a restaurant. First of all they have complimentary valet, so bring a few bucks to tip! The service is upscale, think fine dining light, i.e. give you fresh utensils each course, crumb your table, friendly but subdued.
If you like cocktails, try one of their cocktails, they're really beautifully balanced, well done! I had the over the hill. I would have another one no hesitation. The courses are generous without being overwhelming. I really liked what I had. The intros were good, but the pasta was the best. I love that they do the pasta truly al dente. If you like mushy pasta, that is not what you're gonna get here. I got the mushroom ragu with callabresselli pasta, one, two it includes hen of the woods mushroom. I haven't seen usually foraged mushrooms on a restaurant dish in a long time.So if you're into that, you should try it. Delicious rich, yet not heavy. I may make their upstairs lounge my go to for last minute drinks and a bite.

Everything at Nostrana’s was amazing! The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, perfect for a night out. The menu had creative options you don’t see everywhere, based off of seasonal foods and each dish was delicious. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to and recommending to others

So refreshing to dine at an Italian restaurant that offers so much more than the usual pizzeria fare. Nostrana serves incredibly unique, flavorful dishes, and their rotating seasonal menu never disappoints. The service is always warm and attentive, and the atmosphere makes every visit enjoyable. Our server, Michael, was great. He was super attentive and knew the menu well. The service and attentiveness, in general, by everyone -from the greeter to the bartender to the person who came around with some delicious bread to the manager - was impressive. The timing of the courses was perfect with no feeling of being rushed in what quickly became a full dining room.
The food was excellent with unique flavors in each dish. Three of us ordered pasta dishes and I ordered the Bronzino, which was cooked perfectly and served with a delicious salad of lettuces and vegetables. The pasta dishes were very fresh with just enough to satisfy and share a little - perfect plate sizes.
Three of us (not me) had cocktails and the feedback was great. Unique flavors and well-balanced drinks.
We will be back for sure!

Decided to go pretty last minute, and called ahead to see if there was space, and the girl on the phone was saying the evening was very booked and we probably couldn’t get seated unless we were there within 15 minutes. So we rushed there, and the restaurant was not even close to full for the 2 hours that we were there, which as slightly annoying.

Nostrana is one our favorite places. Yesterday we went and management was so accommodating to our larger party. Service, food and drinks were amazing. Manager even offered to get a new smoker for when I came back so I can get smoked old fashioned’s which is above and beyond. Thanks for giving us great memories every time we come.

Salads are disappointing - had tasteless Bibb salad and Caesar salad which had no caesar ingredients. At least 25% of lettuce had browned, and server ignored the feedback when I handed back those leaves. Cocktails also lackluster.

Let’s start with the positives - beautifully decorated, amazing drinks, and the food I had was good. Unfortunately, I had high hopes, but they will not accommodate allergies here which I think is important to know. Their menu says they will, except when you ask, they won’t substitute or make changes to not “disrupt the chefs vision”. So for $40 I got 1/2 a meal since they wouldn’t accommodate. The plate still came out with the food I was allergic to. And my husband’s meal they forgot to put the pasta in the dish. It’s such a shame because I enjoyed the atmosphere, but I can’t go back. To the restaurant, please think about reviewing this. I understand it’s an inconvenience to your chef, I’m sorry, but I didn’t choose to have allergies. Every restaurant accommodates except you.
