I recently visited honeygrow, known for their famous “create-your-own” stir-fry, salads, and honeybar, and had an amazing experience! The ability to fully customize your meal using their proprietary touchscreen technology is a game-changer. They clearly prioritize fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, which really elevates the flavors.

I opted for the “Create Your Own Stir-fry” with freshly made whole wheat noodles, broccoli, scallions, snow peas, roasted garlic, crispy onions, cilantro, and their signature spicy garlic sauce (with extra sauce mixed in). It was absolutely delicious! The spicy garlic stir-fry noodles are my personal favorite, and the extra sauce truly takes the dish to another level—highly recommend adding it! 🤤

The staff were young, friendly, and welcoming, which added to the overall positive vibe of the place. The portion size was just right, leaving me satisfied without being overly full. The customization options and quality ingredients make it a must-try for anyone who loves fresh, flavorful, and personalized meals. Can’t wait to go back! 💯

The worst! Waited over a half hour for overpriced, poor quality, tasteless food with very small portions. Will never be back.

Food does not taste fresh. Sauce is heavy and thick. Sat like a rock in my stomach until my body rejected and expelled it.

Yeah, hard pass on this place.

This was our third time dining here. The stir fry was a create your own which i love this option. Even though our order came out at different times, rather than all together, everything was delicious. Thank you to Susan who went above & beyond in helping get our food out to us. We will be back again.

Kid-friendliness: Kids stir-fry are perfectly portioned.

Creepy Uncle Dave

Creepy Uncle Dave here. I visited this location for lunch. In an area filled with choices, this place is a refreshing addition to the fast paced fast food market. The best way for me to describe this place is like an Asian influenced Chipotle. The food is tasty and fresh and gives you the feel of eating somewhat healthy. My boss once said that if the customer doesn’t always need to get what they expecting as long as they perceive that they got what they were expecting. I had no idea what the hell he was talking about back then so I looked at him sideways and went back to work. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I don’t know if this is healthier or not but I definitely did not leave feeling like I needed a shower. I ordered their Sriracha Tahini Stir Fry. I really enjoyed this. It was a mix of noodles, chicken and vegetables tossed in an amazing sauce Sriracha Tahini sauce with red pepper flakes. What an amazing combination of sweetness and spice. I damn near licked the bowl. My only complaint is the price but with the cost of food these days it comes with the territory. Anyway, I liked this place and plan on coming back maybe I’ll see you there.

Super tasty but not tasty enough for the price let alone what’s been going on with my stomach. I tried going for the first time last week after the Somerville water main break had happened a few days prior and they were closed. I mention this because everyone was open again except Honeygrow and it was a few days after the break. I shrugged it off and when I went night. As tasty as it was, it was in no way worth the price let alone this trouble with my stomach. How about this, the only reason I’m writing this review is because instead of being able to go inside of the gym; I’m writing this in the parking lot in pain, nauseous and aware that I probably won’t get through my workout without needing to spend even more of my morning in the bathroom. So, if ya have money you want to throw away on tasty but make you sick food, this is the place. I’m super disappointed and I think pretty sick too. I want my money back cause a no gym day is a wasted day in my world and I am one cranky lady today. Cause before I can even finish writing this review my stomach has chosen for me that I will be spending my morning on a throne instead of treadmill. Thanks but no thanks!

Oh and as for the service-other than I guess people are unsanitary (or I wouldn’t be sick), they don’t speak or even acknowledge customers. So tipping is not necessary.

Place is nice to look at and love the outside eating area but I’d assume they’d want you to eat their food there aaand my stomach doesn’t recommend it.

So bummed (and sick), was looking forward to wasting a lot of money there. I guess I’ll just get better at making this simple stuff at home. Can’t trust the source of the food let alone the people handling it.

Noodles were extremely dry and undercooked. I ordered the egg white noodles. They were very tough and chewy. There was no sauce on the noodles either. I have been to honeygrow dozens of times but the first time I’ve been to this location, I would not return.

I got a salad that was described as a chopped steak salad. The picture also looks like it is chopped steak. It's not... my salad was deli sliced roast beef!
Also, they gave me a very small amount of dressing that didn't even cover the salad. That cost me $16! I'm a very loyal customer to places that I get good prices from. I don't know if I'll veback.

Went in on Sunday 10/20 and the place was hoppin! I enjoyed my stir fry dish (can't remember what it was) but the sauce, spice and shrimp were delicious. Noodles were so good. Sheri is the general manager and she was so welcoming and ensured our food and service was on point. I wish there was one closer to where I live, great options and my friend's salad looked so good!!!! I enjoyed the music while I dined inside and the staff was friendly and efficient.

Took forever to get my food, and I saw a lot of bad hygiene with gloves. At one point the person at the pass through walked off and the cashier started doing the job but ungloved and without washing up first. Food tasted ok, but was DROWNING in the sauce. I guess if I ever ate here again, I would definitely go "light sauce" when making my order. The portions are stupidly small. Like Chipoltle meme small. I paid $3.19 for tofu, and got like 9 tiny pieces. Meanwhile the chicken is nearly the same cost. Generally when your proteins are the same cost, the "cheaper" ones you'll get more of. I shudder to think of how little chicken I'd get. Noodles were decent, but, again, small portion.

I might be willing to give them one more try because its nice to have a healthier, lactose intolerance friendly, option, but not if it's cheaper to just hit a Thai place and get Pad See Ew.

I've had honeygrow before, been relatively satisfied with my order. Tried out this new location, here are some thoughts.

1. Ordered rice noodles and received rice instead.
2. Everything was separated in the to-go box. This is not stir-fry, nothing was stirred lol. It was dry rice on the bottom and a very small quantity of the the rest of the food at the very top.
3. The rice (again, not what I asked for) was 70% of my meal. If I wanted just rice, I could have boiled it and eaten at home.

I used to be a regular at the New Brunswick location while I was in school. So excited that there’s a spot closer to home now! Tastes as good as I remember! Delicious.
