Luna Verde Vegan Mexican Restaurant

Best Mexican I've ever had. My boyfriend (who is not vegan) says the same. Impeccable protein options, ouey gooey cheese, fresh veggies. Chefs kiss. My cousin who is a decade long vegan (and from the PNW, yes I told her she has to get food from here when she visits) even swears by Luna Verde.

Incredible food and its healthy as can be with great prices. Problem is. You never know if they are open or how to order. Can't even order pickup. Frustrating

I really appreciated the tofu option for the Plato Luna verde. Pickled onions, vegan crema, purple cabbage, beans, guacamole. I can’t recommend this filling and delicious plate enough. For protein you can also get a soy chorizo or a seitan option.

They are only doing pickup - zero dine in. So you can order & go- or bring the food outside to eat at their picnic tables on the side of the building.

They are a fully vegan Mexican menu that is drool worthy. Fresh quality, creative & colorful dishes, servings are HUGE- and ALL VEGAN. So delicious. Like no joke how delicious!

What a great vegan spot! I've never seen vegan elotes before so we ordered them and they were awesome! It seemed a little bit pricy but it was totally worth it!

Their maduros and enchiladas were to-die-for! I got the red sauce enchiladas with tofu filling. The beans and rice had a slightly smoky flavor that I think came from the chipotle chile, and it wasn’t my favorite, but I would order from here again.

It is most delicious Mexican food I’ve ever had. I never eat Mexican out due to meat use. But this won my heart at everything- taste, presentation and cleanliness. Love it

I have been eating at this restaurant for a few times in summer and food was good until last visit this year I ordered the usual dishes and everything was so hot We couldn't enjoy our meals it was not good .

Just went to Luna Verde for the first time last night and it was amazing. Best vegan Mexican food I’ve ever had and I’ve been vegan for 22 years! I will definitely be back. The online ordering isn’t the best but the food more than makes up for it. Absolutely outstanding food

I hate to leave bad reviews especially for vegan restaurants. I also try to give people a second chance. I tried this place 3 times and it was an awful experience every time. Ridiculously long waits, over-the-top rudeness from owner and staff. Food was ok, but nothing extraordinary. Pricing for the food was a lot more than what is worth. Honestly, even if they offered me free food I would not go back because of the awful rudeness. So many other places to choose from who treat customers much better. Sadly, I would rather order the vegan option from an Omni restaurant than return here.

Outstanding

I have eaten here for years. It is the best Mexican I’ve ever had and the best food in any NJ beach town. The owner is a lovely woman and her food is the absolute freshest and most delicious you’ll find in the area. Do not be deterred if you are not vegan, this food can compete with any. It is one of my favorite places to eat in the world.

Best Mexican, vegan or not! I always know it’s going to be a good day when I can eat here! The churros are so fresh and amazing love it. I do wish they would have indoor eating again, but otherwise you can’t miss this place.

Luna Verde has the best Mexican food I have ever had in my life! As a vegan, them having an entirely plant based menu is so wonderful, although I’m sure anybody in the world would enjoy their food. Everything is made to order for takeout and they have a cute little picnic area outside you’re able to eat your food at. They often have specials like churros and tres leche. Their food is so packed with flavor and you can’t tell it’s very carefully made with so much love. The staff upon pickup of your food are always friendly and you will leave smiling!
