“This evening we decided to return to the Mantoloking Road Alehouse. We loved the small ,tender, succulent mussels from last evening, so we decided we must have another order this time Fra Diablo. Abel did not disappoint. The dish was the absolute best. We also ordered the pizza that was superb! Kristen was our server this evening, and her bubble personality,plus her attention to detail was outstanding. Evan our server from last night recognized us and stopped at our table to thank us for returning. Kristen even send over the mgr.,Stephanie, the manager for the night to say hello to us. Even the hostess recognized us as returning customers from last evening. We can't say enough good things about the quality of the food to the outstanding, upbeat service. Put Mantoloking Road Alehouse on your "To Do List." You won't regret it. The Best!“

“Literally the best cheeseburger I’ve ever had in my life, and trust me I’ve had a lot of them! My husband got the chicken cutlet sandwich and it was also phenomenal. Wish we lived closer because this would be a weekly spot for us!“

“Joanne is the literal best! We have come here every summer on vacation, and make sure we are in Joanne's section. She is always polite and has always made sure we had a great experience, as well as all of her other tables at the same time. The food is also great, and the dinner was cheap. The restaurant is very nice inside. Joanne is truly an angel!

Parking: Always busy, so street parking is hard to come by. You have to pay, but it's cheap.“

“We went to masons, pretty much right before they closed on a Saturday (1am), and Jeremiah treated us (and everyone else) like we were royalty. He was kind, responsive, entertaining, and pretty much made my bad night considerably better. It was the first time we had been to the bar and will definitely not be the last, for us or our friends. “I had the award cheeseburger. It was so good and the sweet potato fries were delicious. The salad was just OK, the lettuce was not great. The French onion soup was delicious.

The service was OK. The bartender only ever recognized one of us at a time. My friend would order and instead of also checking with me if I needed anything, I'd have to wait until she came back. It was just not standard service behavior, but with that said, it was just odd, not really bad.“

“During my trip to New York, I came here every morning for the best milkshakes—especially for just $3?! That kind of deal doesn’t even exist in Europe! Absolutely amazing.

On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly and hardworking, making the experience even better. They also serve delicious ham and cheese sandwiches at an equally great price.

“Found this place towards the end of our summer rental in Manasquan. What a great find! we watched the Rutgers game and talked to Elise the bartender for quite a while. She was so nice! burgers were awesome. met a couple up for the week from Florida who frequent the Rail every year. we will definitely be back next summer! Highly recommend this local pub.“

The room was updated, the bathroom was very modern, and it was very clean, and the view was amazing.

The keys to our room didn't work, so they sent someone to fix it ASAP, and it was great.

“Initially, I searched online for a place that served lobster roll and this place came up, but upon arriving there and browsing the menu, lobster roll was not listed, so perhaps it's only a special on occasion. This place was recommended from our AirBnb host, and the other menu options looked great, so we stayed and had lunch anyway. I enjoyed my Bar A's Brisket Sandwich, which on the menu mentioned came with horseradish sauce and au jus. However, when it came to the table, it did not come with those described condiments, so I had to ask our server for both, and received them quickly with no hassle.
We arrived around 11am and it seems this place has it's regulars. The one positioned directly by the entrance was very quick to offer the four women who walked in some cocktails on his tab. We politely declined the drink and we resumed the rest of our visit without any issues from the other guests. If you like that kind of familiar atmosphere, then I would say they seem open and friendly to anyone who is a visiting patron.
My friend ordered the sliders and said they were the best she's had in her life.
Prices were definitely reasonable.“
