This is a fun place. The food is what you would expect. Good bar food. Nothing fancy. Great service. Pool tables and games. Outdoor seating available. Off the boardwalk.
This place is sort of hit or miss depending what you order. We shared a few things. I got a cheesesteak with spicy peppers and it was good. It doesn’t have a lot of cheese on it but I was fine with that, no one else really enjoyed it but I did. The fries are horrible The wings have good flavor but need to be made crispier. The pepperoni pizza was really good, for the price it’s really small however.

Finest bar and restaurant in the area, probably the state of NJ! From food, security, bartenders, bar backs, bands / DJ .. I could go on and on! 10/10

Hooks Bar & Grill offers a fun atmosphere with friendly and clean surroundings. The staff is nice, and the service is excellent, with attentive bartenders who keep drinks flowing. The food is consistently great with unique combinations, and the must-try dishes include the fish and chips, considered the best in town, and the excellent crab cake sandwich, which has been described as phenomenal. The pork sliders stand out on the menu, while the vegetarian tacos remain a delicious option. Guests can enjoy a retro arcade experience, complete with shuttleboard, giant Pac-Man, and pinball, adding to the overall enjoyment. The restaurant is a great place for families, with good meal portions and decent prices; a recent dinner for four came to only $60. However, it can get loud during big games. The menu features a nice variety of foods, and the drinks are good as well. Some dishes, like the chicken options, may be a bit underwhelming, but the Sashimi Grade Tuna Tacos are a favorite, with fresh tuna and great flavors. Overall, Hooks Bar & Grill is a decent choice for a meal out, with a mix of hits and misses in their menu offerings, and it is always great for fast and yummy food.
