Went out with my girlfriend and her parents for my girlfriends birthday

I have to eat gluten free and this restaurant was so accommodating, that I was actually able to experience hibachi at the hibachi tables. Typically when I go out to get hibachi they always make the food in the back and I miss out. But not these guys, they made my meal first to avoid cross contamination, and they gave me a double portion of fried rice in place of the noodles(they used gluten free soy sauce for the rice). I had steak and shrimp and it was phenomenal!

“My husband and I LOVE River Rock's outdoor dining. We enjoy seeing the boats coming and going while we eat. The Manasquan River is a beautiful sight. Any food items that we have ordered are delicious. Lauren Guenther is one of our favorite servers. She's a sweetheart. She's very friendly, personable, and very focused on what she's doing. We know Lauren from when she served at Carrabba's. She was very special to us back then as she is now. Being local residents, we visit River Rock frequently during the summer and we will ALWAYS request either Lauren or Kelsey Conover because we simply adore them both. I ordered a special drink and she went out of her way to see if the bar had the ingredients to make it. She paid a lot of attention to us as appropriate. “I can't say enough good things about Blue Sushi! 🌟 The Specials are exceptional and are indeed a special treat. Each dish is a delightful surprise, bursting with flavor. The Chef is great.

But it’s not just the Specials that shine; the simpler items on the menu are equally stellar. The Baby Bok Choi Sautéed in Garlic is a must-try —perfectly packed with flavor! The Live Scallops are indeed life-affirming. I found that the appetizers set the tone and can also be ordered in combination as a medley on their own to form a fantastic meal.

The music they play is incredible too! My partner and I enjoyed using our Shazam App to identify song titles and new music artists. It was so fun, and now we have some new music to enjoy at home and work.

“Good quality sushi and friendly service in downtown Lakewood. Quite a few different rolls and small dishes to choose from. They also had two types of boba tea, and the one we got was good. The service was friendly and they even gave us an extra dish that was made by mistake. But note this a counter order / takeout shop, not a sit-down restaurant w/ sushi bar. That was not clear to me when I went. If dining in, you order on tablets at the shop and they bring it out. Or you can order ahead and pick it up to go. Most of their business seems to be takeout. On the plus side, you don't have to tip a server. Pretty small inside, about 4 four-tops and 4 two-tops. Not dirty inside, but they should take some time cleaning the floor and windows more, as well as tidying up the inventory that's stacked up by the windows, to give it a nicer, more welcoming feel inside.“

“we've been going to 709 for many years, and go there quite often . service is always good, but the food has been hit or miss for the past year. they closed down and reevaluated their menu and staff. the new staff is excellent, as was the old. we have decided to continue to support 709 during their transition. Saturday's dinner was just not prepared to my liking. my fillet was medium well, when i asked for medium rare. the server was excellent, and tried everything to accomodate my requests. no fault of her own. but, the chefs should pay better attention to what they are cooking. the sushi chefs also need to check the freshness of the fish they are serving. the usually "red" tuna was gray. we tried a piece each, and decided not to eat it, and it was then off our bill. 709 was "the" place to grab a great meal.... look at my other reviews. not too sure anymore.“

“The food is great! Pizza is always fresh and tasty. Though I'm very into good fries but unfortunately, these are the standard frozen ripple cut fries. So that's a bummer. Tend to avoid ordering such fries. I find the crispy and straight cut fries taste better. Vs those rippled cut fries which don't taste too good.

I love the ketchup pump/cups, which are easy for kids to dispense ketchup and be a big help when dining out.

Another thing I find interesting. When it comes to fountain soda. I get they charge you $3 or more for a fountain soda. Now, personally, if I had an eatery, that's the first thing I would change and follow the costco trend where they allow unlimited drink refill if you purchased the $0.65 cup. (Lol $0.65). But at least offer some type of refill idea. Even charging $.50, the customer has a cup, straw, and cover. So, all they are paying for is a tad of syrup that's being used.
