“Izu Sushi is by far the best sushi restaurant in the Long Branch area. The staff is friendly and polite. Regardless of dine-in or takeout, the food is always fresh and delicious. I’ve been coming here for nearly 2 years and order at least once every 2 weeks and I’ve never had a negative experience. I recommend Izu to anyone who reads this review!!!“
“great take out, dine in service very hands off. we enjoyed the miso soup and classic ginger salad which came with TWO SAUCES! the crab rangoon is delicious along with the Vietnamese spring roll, the spicy crab roll, shrimp tempura roll were very good as well!“
“Initial service was disappointing despite reservations made. We arrived early but waited to get noticed. We were seated and then we waited….and waited and waited some more. The server who looked after the table behind us walked by several times and sat at an empty table to text on his phone. (Not sure it was a company phone!) He seemed more interested in his Milli Vanilli hair due than service tables. I then asked the host if it was possible for us to get someone to serve us as we planned on having dinner not breakfast as they are closed for breakfast. I told her despite the fact that we received a free drink coupon we were willing to pay for our other drinks and dinner. Soon afterwards, a very friendly young lady from the bar came by to serve us. She made up for the delay and was worth our time there. (Sorry we didn’t get her name, she was awesome.) The food was absolutely delicious, and exceeded our expectations. Dessert was the best. Compliments to the food staff, preparation and presentation was 6 stars! We left a 20% tip despite our initial disappointment. I would go back without question.“
“Nice dinner with family here tonight. Decided to get a hot meal instead of sushi and the Fish and Chips was off the charts. Super fresh, delicate and delicious, the fries were very good also. Shishito pepper app was amazing too. Very happy with the experience!“
“Placed a rather large order today. Appetizers, a few rolls and a few ramen dishes, All very good! Presentation was great and roll sizes are large for the price. Great taste and great value especially compared to the other sushi options near by. Impressively, the food was ready for pick up in 15-20 minutes and I was greeted by a very nice lady who took care in packing the food and made sure we had everything needed for our large order. Definitely happy I chose to try this place today. Will be back.“
