“Beyond pleased we found this gem - having grown up in Tuscany and lived in NYC for 20+ years, I can say their pizza was one of the most authentic and reminiscent of home that I've had in the city. Husband's papperdelle bolognese were also excellent, as were other's ravioli, as well as the Elizabeth Street cocktail. Only regret was that we DIDN'T stay for dessert and instead went for mediocre cannoli on Mulberry. I really wish I had stayed for their pannacotta or affogato. Next time!”

“Had to write this review because this just happened. I had placed an order through their website couple of things and an order of their small spare ribs. They come 4 in a small. When I checked them I realized yes, I had four pieces but they so so small, two made up one rib. I called the restaurant and told them with no attitude. They were completely understanding so they asked me to bag the small ones up and they immediately came and replaced them. That was amazing and I really appreciated it. I love their ribs lol.”

“Walked by one morning on our way to Offshore, checked out the menu, the tacos caught our attention, specifically the Baja Fish and Tulum Shrimp tacos, a couple of our favorites. Decided to come back for lunch the next day. We ordered the aforementioned tacos. Server was nice, brought our drinks fairly quickly along with some tortilla chips... but no salsa. Had to go inside and request it later. Salsa has good flavor, they have a green and red, mild to medium spice. Tacos arrived, they looked great, nice presentation... but the shrimp was seriously lacking in flavor. My wife and I have had shrimp tacos in Tulum and these weren't even close. Plus only 2 medium-sized bland shrimp in each taco. The Baja Fish taco had decent flavored sauce on it. The tortillas were not warmed or grilled or anything on either tacos.”

“how great is it they the original owners of the Diet Gourmet have reopen in the same location in Elberon NJ. The menu is even better than before. They have all their old favorites and a whole bunch of new ones( pizza, flat breads, fish and chip, baked Eggplant) just to name a few.Also they redecorated the whole whole place from and new size to new floors, tables, bathroom repainted in light colors, rebuilt the whole kitchen with new equipment. And the original owner chef is back in the kitchen doing her thing. Healthy food at it's best, kosher dairy at it's best. GO Tomorrow.”

“An odd little place, but good for lunch. We were there mid-afternoon and the place was empty. Our server (one of the owners) was very friendly and attentive. At her suggestions we ordered the piri piri mixed grill to share between the two of us. Although it comes with rice and french fries, we opted for the fries + a salad for a $1.75 upcharge. It also comes with garlic bread and olives. The garlic bread was tasty. The french fries were spot-on: arrived hot from the fryer and were nice and crisp. The salad was also very good, especially considering February in NJ. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy and I didn't see any brown or wilted leavesl. The tomatoes were the sad pale imitation of real tomatoes - I'd use cherry tomatoes or leave them out if I were making a salad this time of year. The only dressing offered was oil and vinegar, which was fine with us. There was plenty of meat on the platter, a good varity of chicken, pork and beef, and it was well-seasoned. However, it was a bit dry and tough (except for the chicken, which was good). I felt that a sauce of some sort on the meat would have improved it a lot. We like Portuguese/Brazilian food a lot. I think we'll likely go back and try something else.”

“Initial service was disappointing despite reservations made. We arrived early but waited to get noticed. We were seated and then we waited….and waited and waited some more. The server who looked after the table behind us walked by several times and sat at an empty table to text on his phone. (Not sure it was a company phone!) He seemed more interested in his Milli Vanilli hair due than service tables. I then asked the host if it was possible for us to get someone to serve us as we planned on having dinner not breakfast as they are closed for breakfast. I told her despite the fact that we received a free drink coupon we were willing to pay for our other drinks and dinner. Soon afterwards, a very friendly young lady from the bar came by to serve us. She made up for the delay and was worth our time there. (Sorry we didn’t get her name, she was awesome.) The food was absolutely delicious, and exceeded our expectations. Dessert was the best. Compliments to the food staff, preparation and presentation was 6 stars! We left a 20% tip despite our initial disappointment. I would go back without question.”

“I highly recommend this Playa Bowls. It’s all healthy food. I love everything on the menu. The place is clean. They always have surfing on one of the tvs, which is awesome and all the employees are friendly, polite, and helpful. Plus if you download their app you can get discounts. I’m very satisfied with Playa Bowls.Vegetarian options: I’m vegan and sometimes it’s hard finding vegan options when I go out to eat but Playa Bowls has a great selection for vegans and everything is vegetarian.”

“I'm not the biggest fan of strollo's because they don't serve hard ice-cream. But they have alot of great toppings for your soft ice-cream. I never tried their Italian ice, so I can't comment on that. The place is always packed though.”
