Our group found Emporio by way of TikTok (shocking, I know). I am always a bit hesitant to check out restaurants with buzz by influencers as it can truly be a completely different experience than what is shown online. I've been coming here regularly for about 15 years now. This is a restaurant where you can get truly authentic Italian food in Manhattan—far more authentic than the restaurants in Little Italy just a few blocks south. The thin-crust pizza baked in their wood-fired oven is especially wonderful, with a subtle hint of smoky char from the wood.
