“My husband and I stopped at Eastern Sushi on our way back to the city from Atlantic City—and wow, we were seriously impressed. I had the Golden Salmon Roll (swapped the tobiko for masago) and it was super fresh with really high-quality fish. My husband got the hibachi scallops, which came out piping hot and perfectly cooked. Honestly, the food here is better than some spots we’ve tried in Manhattan. The restaurant itself isn’t fancy, but it’s very clean and the service was great. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area!“

“I had the honor privilege and luck of being the very first customer to be served at Kanpachi Sushi during their grand opening on 4/29/2022. The very first think I noticed was how friendly and inviting the staff is, they make you feel welcome the second that you step into their establishment. The second thing I noticed was the how the new renovation which makes you want to come in and have a seat at a table or sit at the sushi bar to watch the sushi master construct your order before your eyes. I am impressed with the addition of this new business to Amboy Ave. The food is fresh, top-quality ingredients prepared by a world class chief and sushi master. I had lunch there yesterday and today. Oh, and did I mention that Kanpachi is a BYOB establishment? Sushi steak and Hibachi lovers, do yourself a favor and get over there. “Had a really great experience at this sushi spot! The sushi and sashimi were very fresh and absolutely delicious — you can really taste the quality.

It’s a nice little café with a cozy atmosphere, and the staff is very polite and friendly, which makes the whole experience even better.

The beef bento box was very good — flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. The presentation was also beautiful; even the service plates were very nice and thoughtfully arranged.

I have eaten there dozens of times and have “ Never Been Disappointed “..Emily the owner is always so Pleasant and ALWAYS attentive to her staff and the professionalism that makes Mizu a neighborhood restaurant a cut above “ All” the rest.. I've come here abt 20*** times so far and I've never had a bad food experience. I've had sushi from a lot of other AYCE, all you can eat, sushi places and I think this one is the best in terms of quality and variety. It's about $30 per person.

The fish here tastes fresh and NOT watered down like other places I've been to. The miso soup is good here too, it doesn't taste artificial and sweet like other places.

The special rolls are a little questionable, there are a lot of special rolls that aren't my type and extremely filling but I like the sashimi and regular rolls. The salmon is good here, so I always get salmon sashimi and Alaska rolls.

They also have other foods available in their AYCE like shumai, sesame chicken, lo mein, and calamari, takoyaki, etc. Most of their non-sushi items are good too. I have some friends who don't like seafood but they still get the ayce.

ONE THING TO NOTE, if you come here with a party of 5 or more, you will be charged a 15% service fee.“

“I have become a returning customer here after moving to NC 4 years ago. The food is incredible and of excellent quality. The staff is friendly and respectful. After reading the negative reviews, I'm not sure how anyone could complain about the portion sizes - slowing down to really savor the flavor of the fish is something i'd suggest for them.“

“This is the only place I feel safe ordering in from as someone with food allergies. I have a dairy and gluten allergy and they are so accommodating with the dishes. You get big portions for a good price and the food is always so fresh. I also have a super stomach with some problems so I always feel icky eating out and since the food is cooked in high quality oil I never feel icky after eating here which is SO rare for me. The owner is incredibly kind and told me how she also has food allergies and is happy to make modifications and help. It’s so rare that restaurants welcome modifications and she always does so for me. I’ve never gotten sick here and it’s the one restaurant I feel comfortable ordering in from and look forward to doing so every week. The entire staff is helpful and are always kind and respectful even when the phone is ringing like crazy and there’s a line for pick up. They never rush you and always make you feel welcome. A local gem- thank you to the incredibly owner for giving us allergy people a safe place with delicious food and for accommodating me with a smile. I appreciate you so much.
