“I had the honor privilege and luck of being the very first customer to be served at Kanpachi Sushi during their grand opening on 4/29/2022. The very first think I noticed was how friendly and inviting the staff is, they make you feel welcome the second that you step into their establishment. The second thing I noticed was the how the new renovation which makes you want to come in and have a seat at a table or sit at the sushi bar to watch the sushi master construct your order before your eyes. I am impressed with the addition of this new business to Amboy Ave. The food is fresh, top-quality ingredients prepared by a world class chief and sushi master. I had lunch there yesterday and today. Oh, and did I mention that Kanpachi is a BYOB establishment? Sushi steak and Hibachi lovers, do yourself a favor and get over there. I am making this my go to spot for lunch or dinner, I give Kanpachi 5 stars. Thank you for picking Amboy Ave to open your sushi house.“

“Love that they have tofu as a vegetarian option for the poke bowl! I often get this as a weekly take out treat. The staff is kind and service is super quick. Ingredients for the poke bowl seem very fresh. Pineapple and mango are a couple of my favorite toppings. Also it’s awesome that they increased the number of ingredients that are free of charge to add to the poke bowl!
It’s also a simple and cute space to sit inside for a casual, quick meal if you’d like.“

“The mango special roll with shrimp tempura was a little slimy because mango was very ripe and cut into small slices which were falling off the roll. It was ok not great. I did not care at all for the consistency of the chicken in the noodles dish. I ate around the meat and just ate the noodles.“

“We come to Mizu Sushi all the time and it never disappoints! 🍣 Everything from the appetizers to the sushi rolls are always so fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Emily, the owner, and her husband are absolutely lovely and always goes above and beyond to accommodate our preferences. We always get the sashimi double cut thin, and they make it exactly how we like it! The quality and consistency are amazing, and the customer service makes us keep coming back. “Came for dinner on Friday around 6:30pm. Recommend making reservation on Friday Evening otherwise take a seat at the bar or will need to wait. The fish was fresh and presentation done well. Seeing the chefs put the dishes together was a nice experience as well. A bit slow with the order but most likely its because the place was full. Would recommend 18 pieces sashimi, salmon tartar and tako su. Over all a great place to stop by if you want fresh sushi and want to bring in your liquor.“

“I had heard so many good things about Nikko's so I stopped by for a take out meal the other day. From the time I walked through the door, I had a great experience. The decor is really nice, the restaurant clean and the people working there are even nicer and very helpful. I ordered the seafood hibachi entree. I live in Summerville so there's several sushi options we have but I didn't really find them good or tasty. And my friend recommended we go to this place and honestly by 4:00 best tasting sushi that I've had in New Jersey. It's very clean, it's a great talking atmosphere, staff is friendly. Prices are good. FYI parking is behind the restaurant. I didn't realize that before signing a parking in the shopping center across the street.“

“This is the only place I feel safe ordering in from as someone with food allergies. I have a dairy and gluten allergy and they are so accommodating with the dishes. You get big portions for a good price and the food is always so fresh. I also have a super stomach with some problems so I always feel icky eating out and since the food is cooked in high quality oil I never feel icky after eating here which is SO rare for me. The owner is incredibly kind and told me how she also has food allergies and is happy to make modifications and help. It’s so rare that restaurants welcome modifications and she always does so for me. I’ve never gotten sick here and it’s the one restaurant I feel comfortable ordering in from and look forward to doing so every week. The entire staff is helpful and are always kind and respectful even when the phone is ringing like crazy and there’s a line for pick up. They never rush you and always make you feel welcome. A local gem- thank you to the incredibly owner for giving us allergy people a safe place with delicious food and for accommodating me with a smile. I appreciate you so much.
