“Worth it... always fresh ... well done..Very nice buffet... like 20$ for lunch... n 25 ish dinner... well worth it.. .. a step above all buffets... I go every Monday... after legs at the gym. .. perfect..P.S. always fresh . Always good. Been going there probably 10 years “
“This is place is simple. It they know what they are doing. Clean place; happy staff and lots of easy to pick up options. You are in and out and have many fresh options to choose from. I think price wise is great too. I picked something that was ready since I was in a hurry. The volcano sushi was delicious and fresh.“
“This place is great! The food is very tasty and the service is impeccable. Their workers are fantastic!! I accidentally left my bag there and they called me the next day they were open, letting me know so that I can pick it up. You don’t find people who do that these days. I tried tipping them for holding onto and letting me know about the bag, and they absolutely refused to take any money Definitely recommend coming here or ordering from!“
“Inside decor puts out a great atmosphere, food is amazing, pricing is about what you would pay anywhere for good sushi. ? they got a decent drink selection and mochi. Service is pretty quick. Would definitely recommend A+++ ranking.Parking: Parking lotWheelchair accessibility: Normal business door, not a automatic door.“
“I'm a trucker and my wife and I come here every time we come through the area. We pick up at a warehouse nearby very frequently. We've NEVER had a bad experience here. The plates are always presented like artwork and the sushi and hibachi options are fantastic and yummy.“
“I picked up my dinner order and couldn't be happier with the food and service! This is a small family owned business in my neighborhood. The food is always fresh, prepared with care and delicious. The service is friendly and helpful. The owner even delivers your food to the car if it's not ready when you get there. It's a little pricey compared to other places around here, but the food is definitely a notch above as well. There's an additional charge for ordering online, so call in your order if you're looking to save a few bucks. I highly recommend Miso Sushi!Vegetarian options: There was 1 vegetarian option in the sushi section and I in the tempura section. There's a tofu teriyaki on rice dish as well. I didn't look for more as that was enough of a selection for the vegetarian members of my family. All the dishes were tasty and filling!“
“Their food is sooooooo delicious and their service is excellent! I dined with a party and the wait was not long. Always fresh and served. Everything is cook to order. Just a friendly tip, definitely pace yourself there is so much to try on their menu ?.Never a miss always a hit! I highly recommend Hiro!“
“Best Japanese place in the area IMO.. so lucky to live within less than a mile! Tried the pork fried dumplings today and they were freshly hand made and delicious, the dipping sauce was like a sweet soy, yum. Their ginger dressing is so good we always get extra for our avocado salad. Favorite roll is the Golden Dragon! Don't skip this place. Also very nice owners and staff, every time!“
“This is hands down my favorite local sushi spot. Whether you sit in or order take out, the food is always delicious. My favorite roll is definitely the yellowtail special. It has yellowtail, ikura and avocado. I havent see any other sushi place do this combo before but its def a must try. The ikura here is flavorful and the uni is also fresh! Service is great even when its a little busy. Definitely stop by if youre passing through the area and have a sushi craving.“
“A nice little gem tucked away in the APA hotel. If you have a craving for Japanese food, this spot is it. (They had Fried Aji on their daily special the day I went ) I got their Salmon Ikura Don, Botan Ebi and Otoro a la carte, and their Black Sesame Panna Cotta. Food was pretty good, better than any Japanese restaurant in the main Edison area, but there are some little things to nitpick at. Some of the salmon was still slightly frozen (I went during lunch on a Tuesday), and I didn't realize some of the salmon would be slightly grilled. Thought it'd be all sashimi but that's my fault for not asking. I do wish that the veggies in the don came as a side salad instead of in the don itself. I feel like the veggies messed up the Salmon Ikura flavor profile a bit. The a la carte sushi were great! So delicious, but the Botan shrimp head came way after the botan shrimp body. Maybe their kitchen was busy, it's not really a big deal for me but I can imagine it might not be ideal for other customers. The Black Sesame Panna Cotta was not too sweet but I do wish the black sesame profile was a little bit stronger. Again, just me being nitpicky, I would definitely order it again! I will have to go back to try more of their menu items because they do have a wide selection of stuff I haven't seen elsewhere in Edison. Their service was impeccable. Something a really upscale place would have!“
“This restaurant is a gem. Out of the 30 or so ramen places I have tried in NJ, Sakana makes the top 3 easily. The atmosphere is clean and pleasant, the service is quick, and the food is excellent. Prices are competitive as well, highly recommend.“
“I've come here abt 6 times so far and I've never had a bad food experience. I've had sushi from a lot of other AYCE, all you can eat, sushi places and I think this one is the best in terms of quality and variety. It's about $30 per person. The fish here tastes fresh and NOT watered down like other places I've been to. The miso soup always tastes good and fresh, it doesn't taste artificial and sweet like other places. The special rolls are a little questionable, there are a lot of special rolls that aren't my type and extremely filling but I like the sashimi and regular rolls. I love the salmon from here, so I always get salmon sashimi and Alaska rolls. They also have other foods available in their AYCE like shumai, sesame chicken, lo mein, and calamari, takoyaki, etc. Most of their non-sushi items are good too.ONE THING TO NOTE, if you come here with a party of 5 or more, you will be charged a 15% service fee. Coming here with 4 people or less is worth it when they all eat their money's worth.“
“Have been twice in the last two months and it has been excellent both times. The staff is incredibly friendly and fish is very fresh. Have gone for dinner on week nights both times and have not needed reservations. They DO have a full liquor license. They also have gluten free soy sauce available upon request. Would highly recommend!“
“Cute, quaint, great decor, clean and delicious. Everything from the Ramen and sushi to the Hibachi is delicious!! AND the juicy pork dumplings are SO good! As for the bubble tea and green tea cake, big thumbs up! The wait staff is friendly but the owner (or possibly manager) is even friendlier and just the kindest! She truly makes you feel welcomed! Highly recommend!!Kid-friendliness: When she’s there, the owner always takes the time to say hello and bring our kid a little sweet snack. It’s very sweet!“
“Visited for lunch and just as good as I remembered. Had to get the Spring Breeze roll - love this combination and have never seen it anywhere else. The lunch box is a great deal too at around 14 bucks. The also have a lunch special where you can pick 2-3 regular rolls with soup and salad. We were able to find street parking out front but if you can't remember there is a public lot nearby.“
“This sushi spot is a gem with its creative menu featuring interestingly named rolls. My go-to is the Green Dragon Roll, filled with crispy shrimp tempura and cucumber, topped with thinly sliced avocado, roe, and eel sauce—the perfect balance of sweetness. I always end up asking for an extra side of eel sauce! My friend opted for the sushi sampler and was delighted with the variety, although the portion was so generous that she ended up taking half of it home. The service was great—quick and provided by a friendly, polite, and upbeat waitress. I've frequented this place both before the pandemic and the service has always been descent. While I haven't tried their hibachi events yet, I've overheard patrons enjoying themselves during these events on a couple of occasions. While I typically aim for 5-star reviews, I must provide an honest assessment to maintain transparency. The presence of tiny flies on 3/11/24 was concerning. Though I understand that flies are attracted to food, it detracted from my comfort and left me questioning the establishment's hygiene standards. They can swiftly resolve this issue by investing in fly traps. Additionally, receiving hot tea in a plastic cup raised safety concerns, as hot liquids can cause plastic to release harmful chemicals. Despite requesting a non-plastic alternative, none were available. I hope they consider investing in safer serving options, such as ceramic or porcelain mugs, to ensure the well-being of their patrons. If these issues are addressed, I would gladly revise my rating to 5 stars.“
“Unfortunately New Owners and Menu! This Restaurant was Once My Favourite! Now Suzuki Sushi in Metuchen, N.J. is Number ☝️Update-I went back on January of 2024 and once again...I was told you can ask for anything that not in the Menu! Why? They don't have the same recipesOf the Original SushiO. Now it's always Empty and the service is just Ok.“
“This was an amazing experience. And honestly the best hibachi I have ever had!! Our chef was hilarious and absolutely amazing. The food was amazing and our chef cooked the scallops PERFECTLY which is hard to get at hibachi sometimes. Everything was delicious and so full of flavors that I didn’t even need the sauces.“
“Worth to Price. Everyone will have one or other option to eat. Visited multiple times, most of the times more than half of the seats are filled and busy. My kiddo every time ask to stop by because he likes jellies here. Left a star for hygiene. They maintain dim lighting not to identify the surroundings. But my concern is heavy wastage of foods in buffet.Kid-friendliness: They provide high chairs for kids.“
“Food is not bad because they are very much the same from any psedo-Japanese restaurants you go to. My family had lunch here and we liked the atmosphere. The staff is also friendly. The one complain is the unagi and the salmon have bones. Just becareful.“
“The food is yummy every time. The portions are fair, and the poke bowl tastes really nice with a lot of food in it, the chicken special is also a great dish and I highly recommend this placeDietary restrictions: Can easily be a low sodium meal“
“Overall a good hibachi experience. The restaurant offers a casual vibe and can be a bit loud. The service was great and attentive, including the hibachi performance it's. The food was good and the chef got everyone's order exactly as they wanted it. I gave the lychee mojito a try as that was a unique flavor I don't normally come by. It was pretty good, but the mango mojito was better, in my opinion. It's a little on the pricy side, but I would return to try some of the extensive menu offerings. :)“
“The best small sushi place in the East Brunswick area! The waitress is a sweet heart and their all very friendly. The food is amazing and the price is super great. I personally recommend the Bento Box or the large platter if you have a big party.“
“Their General Tso's chicken is amazing! I stop by there every Friday on my way home from NY and I love it! And sometimes I get delivery and they are always on time and the food is fresh and hot! I highly recommend this restaurant. And they have sushi too!“
“Great service, mellow interior and I love the sweet potato tempura roll. Plenty of ramen options to suit anyone in your party, and thankfully, there are some vegan options!Dietary restrictions: The vegan options are very clearly labeled, which makes things easier for my partner.“
“This place is a hidden gem in a relatively quiet area of South Plainfield. The staff is so nice, and the sushi and hibachi plates are delicious. Always high quality fish and never a disappointing meal. Wish I could eat here every week. Thank you Hana Sushi team!“

“Been here a few times and food is always so on point. The special rolls, sushi pizza are all incredible. Given that it’s BYOB, makes it even better. If u r craving for good sushi, this is the spot to go. Get a bottle of mezcal as it pairs perfectly with some top notch sushi/sashimi.“
“Like their sushi(especially specialty ones). Usually, do takeout. My last takeout was delayed for 40 min(first time ever) due to absolute "customer jam". Usually, they are half empty when I order, this time, they were packed, and there was a line waiting too.So despite huge delay - still 5 stars.. They provided me a small table after it became available, brought some tea while I waited, and even added some extras while being absolutely apologetic for the whole issue. Have no hard feeling whatsoever - guys really try their very best.“
“This is the place I go to for sushi and ramen, Taiwanese style. The taste is more delicate and refined. For sushi and ramen connoisseurs, there’s a subtle taste and texture difference between this restaurant and a Chinese owned sushi restaurant. And I’m a Chinese. I drive 30 minutes to eat here rather than go to half a dozen other sushi restaurants 10 minutes or less from my house.“
“I love yimo. Every time I'm here which is very often the service is amazing. Yes sometimes I can't u feest and what the waitresses are saying but it's okay. They make up for it w their amazing food. Sushi, delicious and super flavorful. My fave veggi lo mein and rice. Both a bit over oily but very good I get them every time. All the food other than sushi is equally as good. There's always good music playing and it's a homey warm vibe in here. I recommend yimo to anyone looking for a nice decent priced place to eat.“
“You can't go wrong with Suzuki. The sushi is always on point and my wife loves their Beef Negamaki! We do a lot of take out from there and the food quality is great as take out so I can only imagine how great it would be if we had time to dine in. Even though we haven't had time to dine in (we plan to in the near future) when I pick up our order the atmosphere in the restaurant is always so inviting. We will continue to order from this great restaurant and their staff is awesome!“
“I visited Kona Grill on a bustling Saturday, eager to try them out based on recommendation from a friend. The night kicked off with a mixed bag of cocktails; the New Old Fashioned, revamped with Jim Beam Vanilla Whiskey, was a delightful twist on a classic, boasting a unique texture that impressed me. Similarly, "The Rum Drink" was an excellent summer refreshment—light yet satisfying. Unfortunately, not all drinks hit the mark. The Electric Lemonade was overly sour, reminiscent of Warheads candy, and the Cucumber Southside was dominated by an overpowering cucumber flavor that eclipsed its mojito roots.Appetizers were a similarly varied affair. The Chicken Satay was adequate though unremarkable compared to Thai versions elsewhere, and it suffered from a stingy portion of otherwise tasty peanut sauce. The Fire Dragon Roll, meant to dazzle with its flamed alcohol-infused sauce, ended up a disaster as the sushi absorbed too much of the vodka(?), significantly detracting from its enjoyment and effectively ruining the dish.Main courses painted a more positive picture. Although the 10oz Prime Rib, which I requested medium, arrived well-done, it was still enjoyable enough not to warrant a return to the kitchen. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the Macadamia Nut Chicken—a unique and flavorful dish with a wonderfully crunchy macadamia crust and a delectable sauce that both my companion and I found exceptional.Dessert was a high note on which to conclude our meal. We shared a slice of carrot cake, a perfect balance of flavors with just the right amount of sweetness, and mercifully free of raisins—a common pet peeve. It might just be the best carrot cake we’ve had in a restaurant.Service was exemplary and even a manger stopped by to see how everything was going and comped the carrot cake for us for the birthday. The interior was fine but the window seat we sat by had a lot of bird poop on the windows when lookout. Just made a note on that.Kona Grill offers some standout dishes, particularly in the main courses and desserts, the inconsistency in the starters and some drinks could be improved. The venue has potential for a great dining experience if it irons out these kinks.“
“Not sure what the low rating is about but i enjoyed my time at kuraService was good we got sat down right away on a tuesday and were explained how things workOrdered miso soup which came on a fast top belt which comes directly to table - you can also have fresh made to order sushi. Drinks come on a robot. It could have some lights or sound if you get too close i almost ran in to itMiso soup was a bit too salty. The sushi was good there was a good variety with some premium options and interesting flavors. Sure it doesnt beat the restaurant but remember you are paying for convenience and speed.Ordered 21 plates for two and bill was about $100. Didnt get dessert so expect to pay around 50-75 per person to get fullEverything is clean and the restaurant is well organizedPretty much everything is done automatically even the check. Tipping is not required but i did leave a small tip since there was some personal service. These automated restaurants are pretty cool if you want something quick and easy and if you dont want to deal with people!Download app for points - enjoy the future of dining!“
“THE RESTAURANTThis place is a beautiful hidden gem right next to the canal river. It’s tucked away into a small south bound Brook town and just down the road you can park and walk the canal. Ovations boasts a parking lot with ample space. If it’s full, you can park along the street! I wouldn’t wear sweatpants here. Dress respectfully and you’ll be much better received. Don’t over do it, just don’t dress like you’re headed to Walmart at 9pm for that toilet paper you said you’d get after work ??THE FOOD: braised beef and risotto has always been solid. The flat breads are good as well if you’re interested in a lighter meal with a drink.THE DRINK: I’ll be honest, not a big drinker but the drinks I’ve had, give me a buzz. The serves are friendly so if you vibe well I’m sure you’d get some good drinks. That being said, alcohol is an extremely dangerous substance, it can lead you to choices that will change your life negatively forever.THE CANALBound Brook isn’t the safest area in the world, but the canal is on the SOUTH bound Brook side. So long as you’re smart and aware of your surroundings, you can confidently enjoy a walk!Parking: Ample private parking, and street parking is very convenient“
“My favorite sushi spot in the area. This restaurant is small, but the dim lighting makes for a cozy and relaxing environment. There's so many options on the menu (and pictures, too). I've been here three times, and each visit was great.“
“I absolutely fell in LOVEE with this place !!It’s super cutee with the traditional Japanese seating and the parasols hanging from the ceilingThe food is PHENOMENAL!! Their fusion makes everything deliciousI can get fresh rolls with a twist as well as empanada or tuna tartare with tostones !! You can’t beat it and not to mention I loved everything I ordered !! Absolutely will be coming back“
“I don't understand how they have the ratings they do. Their sushi and milk teas are amazing!!! The workers are quiet and to themselves, but they're not rude. They do an excellent job at providing what you need. And they're fast. I come here a few times a month. Def worth coming here!!“
“Best sushi spot in North Brunswick. Amazing quality, amazing prices, amazing service. They have tons of veg options and also have a great lunch special. Rolls are priced very fairly and taste amazing every time. My favorite is the spicy tuna!Vegetarian options: Sweet potato roll is great!“
