“I had the honor privilege and luck of being the very first customer to be served at Kanpachi Sushi during their grand opening on 4/29/2022. The very first think I noticed was how friendly and inviting the staff is, they make you feel welcome the second that you step into their establishment. The second thing I noticed was the how the new renovation which makes you want to come in and have a seat at a table or sit at the sushi bar to watch the sushi master construct your order before your eyes. I am impressed with the addition of this new business to Amboy Ave. The food is fresh, top-quality ingredients prepared by a world class chief and sushi master. I had lunch there yesterday and today. Oh, and did I mention that Kanpachi is a BYOB establishment? Sushi steak and Hibachi lovers, do yourself a favor and get over there. “First time here and I got the chicken and beef teriyaki with the noodles and veggies. It was delicious. In general I don't care for sushi, but the teriyaki was great and I would definitely get that again. Even though I liked it that much I'll need to try some of the other dishes on the menu first to know if it deserves a higher rating. Other than that it's a clean place with a friendly staff, not too loud and plenty of seating space and parking.“

The service was great, everything was brought out so quickly and all at once (did not love that part, though). The restaurant is a small place. Atmosphere was good/okay. “The mango special roll with shrimp tempura was a little slimy because mango was very ripe and cut into small slices which were falling off the roll. It was ok not great. I did not care at all for the consistency of the chicken in the noodles dish. I ate around the meat and just ate the noodles.“

“I had heard so many good things about Nikko's so I stopped by for a take out meal the other day. From the time I walked through the door, I had a great experience. The decor is really nice, the restaurant clean and the people working there are even nicer and very helpful. I ordered the seafood hibachi entree. The smell was so good I couldn't wait to get home to eat it. I wasn't disappointed. The meal was delicious, plentiful and made with FRESH ingredients“

“I got a really good chicken chow mein lunch special, fried wontons, and bean curd skin. The chow mein and rice were amazing and the fried wontons were very good. The wontons were a bit sweet and doughy for my taste, but still enjoyable. The bean curd skin was great. It came with seaweed salad which I wasn't expecting. Everyone I was with also enjoyed their dishes. The only complaint was $2.00 for rice on the hibachi dish was too much for what you actually got.
I will be getting food from here again and would be interested in dining in.“

“This is the only place I feel safe ordering in from as someone with food allergies. I have a dairy and gluten allergy and they are so accommodating with the dishes. You get big portions for a good price and the food is always so fresh. I also have a super stomach with some problems so I always feel icky eating out and since the food is cooked in high quality oil I never feel icky after eating here which is SO rare for me. The owner is incredibly kind and told me how she also has food allergies and is happy to make modifications and help. It’s so rare that restaurants welcome modifications and she always does so for me. I’ve never gotten sick here and it’s the one restaurant I feel comfortable ordering in from and look forward to doing so every week. The entire staff is helpful and are always kind and respectful even when the phone is ringing like crazy and there’s a line for pick up. They never rush you and always make you feel welcome. A local gem- thank you to the incredibly owner for giving us allergy people a safe place with delicious food and for accommodating me with a smile. I appreciate you so much. “In town for an event, 8 of us went out for dinner. Everything was so delicious, the 3 of us still in town the next day went back the next night for round two.I personally enjoyed the Red Curry Chicken and Beef Pad Thai. Especially of note is their General Tso's Chicken which was ordered both nights, as it is mostly chicken, not cheap breading like a lot of other places. The Shrimp Shumi were also reordered on day two. The prices were completely reasonable as well. I would 100% return to this restaurant for round three.

“First time ordering here, I had never heard of it despite living in the area, but they had a deal on door dash so I decided to try it out. I have been looking for a good Chinese food restaurant since I moved to this area but have so far been disappointed until today. By far the best Chinese food in the area. Generous portions, and tasted great. It even arrived piping hot. It was also packed very well so it delivered perfectly, no mess anywhere. Glad I found this place because its on my way home from work so I will definitely be stopping by again.
