“Haagen-Dasz is known for their high prices. It’s a higher-end ice cream company, after all. You hear about people listening to Adele in bed for hours after a bad week, drowning their sorrows in a luxurious pint of Haagen-Dasz. I had no idea until tonight that they had actual locations.The staff were very professional. The ice cream itself was incredibly rich in texture but it was lacking in taste (and disappointingly so). When I consider the portion size for a regular especially, the price in my mind just doesn’t add up.Their cookies and cream dazzling sundae was very good - my least favorite part of it though was the ice cream by far which is sad. The sea salt caramel truffle cup was good, but again the flavor was lacking. The last place we went to for sea salt caramel was Premise Maid. THEY KNOW how to do sea salt caramel.Haagen-Dasz is over 60yrs old. How can they not have figured this out? Yet, they’re so popular, and yet, this store has so many negative reviews. It cost over $30 for one regular cup and two sundaes. It might just be me and I may have to try them again, but at the same price, I can’t promise it’ll happen.

I stopped in for a quick bite and ended up having some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The barbacoa tacos were incredible—super tender, flavorful, and packed with just the right amount of spice. You can tell the meat was slow-cooked with care. The tortillas were fresh and warm, and everything was topped off with fresh cilantro and onions, just how I like it.

The service was friendly and fast, and the whole place had a great vibe—laid-back but clean and welcoming. If you’re anywhere near this spot and love tacos, do yourself a favor and try the barbacoa. I’ll definitely be back!“

“I got caught in a bad storm with down pouring rain and a tornado warning. I pulled into the parking lot in front of Tropical Smoothie Cafe seeking refuge with my toddler and baby in tow. The employees ran outside to help us in, gave us towels and comforted us while we waited for the storm conditions to subside, then helped us back out to the car when we were ready to leave. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness. Plus the smoothies are delicious and the perfect consistency, my picky toddler loved his. We will definitely be back.“

“We always have the BEST experience at Fresh Tiki Bar! Every time we go, the place feels bright, cheerful, and so welcoming. It’s the kind of spot that instantly puts you in a good mood.

Everything we’ve tried has been absolutely delicious and so creatively presented. You can tell they really care about making each treat fun and special. My son is completely obsessed with their waffle wands and never wants to put his down. It’s safe to say this has become our favorite treat stop!

“Poke Bowl in Hillsborough is much better. The poke bowl topping options are limited at Poké star. When you order online, you can only choose one or two, and at Poké bowl you can get as much as you want of any of the toppings. Poke star gave me what I guess is supposed to be sushi rice but it just looks like regular white rice to me. It’s not sticky. Also, the mixed greens consisted of lettuce and huge pieces of spinach with thick, long stems that they should have cut off before serving. Flavor of the tuna was ok. Only saw literally 2 sesame seeds, but the sauce was very good and the place was clean and people were nice. $20 for one protein plus avocado here and it’s $17 for the same at Poke Bowl.“

“I think I am just going to end up loving every Playa Bowl ...I mean their logo is a giant pineapple! How cool is that.

I used to love froyo. And then the market became saturated. And then also I became an adult and realized the amount of calories from piling on gummy bears and chocolate on my sugar-added dairy product was NOT a health improvement over ice cream... especially served in get-however-much-you-want format.

So I am now saying yes to acai pineapple coconut bases. Yes to healthy but toppings like fruit and granola and sometimes nutella. And yes to customization and deliciousness and freshness and fast service... and definitely yes to finding a pocket of warm tropical vibe at anytime of the year.

This location is humungo, easy parking (since the complex is still very new). Has a ping pong table also, although you will only get a few rallies in before your food is ready. Get a bowl to share for a snack, or one for yourself as a mini-meal.

Seasonal specialties are the best! We got the Harvest with lots of autumn flavors, without the basic extraness that comes with a pumpkin spice latte.

Since this location is right near my parents home, we're always grabbing a bite to go on the way. Kids love them too, and somehow they're very timely on their text promos, always right during our acai bowl cravings!“

“I had a really great experience visiting Egypt Oasis today with my two children. The staff was so friendly and attentive. And the owner Mo introduced himself and was clearly passionate about his business. I was waiting on by Ella and she spent the time talking to my son about his sports. The business is very clean and they have so many selections. We all had the rolled ice cream but I noticed people in the store getting boba tea. There is much variety to choose from in a really cool atmosphere with cards at the tables. We will definitely be back!!“

“Lifehack - although you need a membership to use the facilities inside the YMCA, anyone can come in and get their snack fix (workout optional).

Its a small cafe, but offers enough essentials. They sell pizzas, empandas, burgers, fries... as well healthy juice bar and variety drink options.

But their main feature is the acai bowls - acai, pitahaya or coconut base options. There's a handful of pre-built choices (loaded with fruits, granola, nutella or peanut butter) or create your own. Quick and efficient and beautifully prepared... our Berrytella and Dragon Kiwi bowls came out fresh and delicious.

Will definitely be back, and might even convince me to actually use the gym.“

“Fantastic fresh juices and smoothies, made right in front of you! It’s awesome to have a place like this in Somerville, and the owner Dorcas was so friendly and helpful as well. The only slight downside for me was that the prices are a tad high for my liking, $6-$8 for most drinks, but it’s understandable given the product and location. They are also going to be opening a salad bar soon, and I am excited to continue to support Vita Centro in the future!“

This location absolutely exceeds my expectations. Not only are the smoothies consistently fresh, flavorful, and packed with quality ingredients, but there’s also a special touch that makes this location stand out. There’s that other guy, you’ll know him when you see him, who crafted my smoothie during my visit. It was phenomenal. Perfectly balanced, smooth, and honestly the best I’ve ever had. You can tell there’s real pride and maybe a few secrets in every blend. Friendly service, a welcoming atmosphere, and smoothies so good you can’t help but wonder if that other guy will be there again the next time you visit. Highly recommend!
