“We were staying nearby at the Heldrich Hotel and were looking for a place to have breakfast where there might be some gluten free options. SOL-KALANIT’S was the perfect solution. My wife had tacos (corn, not flour) both mornings we ate there and said they were the best tacos she had eaten since she moved back east from Arizona. I had an omelet both mornings and both were excellent. The dine-in area is small and it can get a bit noisy. But everyone who works there is warm, friendly, and lot’s of fun. The food is a mix of Mexican, Native American, and Mediterranean. If this place were closer to home, we would be regular customers. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.“

Staff is always kind and if they are running behind will let you know about your order. They are helpful in describing items if you are unsure as well. I’ve seen reviews of people having bad experiences with the staff, but that does not reflect the overall business, and I’m sure if the owners/management knew they would not take it lightly. “Awesome place for comfort food in New Brunswick. The Mac n cheese bites are awesome. They pair it with a homemade “Big Mac sauce”. The cheese fries were great too, I believe they have their own homemade cheese sauce. Everything is priced in line with what you would expect for a local restaurant. It came to $35 for two people. Parking is a challenge but that’s New Brunswick for you.“

“I had some time to spare while waiting for my movies to start, so I decided to walk around the food court. A new spot caught my attention. I thought the prices were kind of high, but I was really curious, so I continued on ordering. The cashier was very nice to explain menu items to me. I went with the cheese empanada and a pernil empanada. I'm glad that their empanada are decently sized and that they load up their empanadas. Even the cheese ones had a lot of cheese (please see pic), and they aren't had just air pockets. I thought the pernil embalada was very flavorful. Overall I'm very happy with my orders and would like to try all the different menu items.“

“I've been in here a twice since they opened and this place is great. They have a wide selection of bubble tea options as well as ice cream (rolled) and other snacks. The first time I came, I got the lychee slushie with tapioca boba, which was really good. Next I got the chocolate chip rolled ice cream with m&m's, which was pretty good too. The owner is very friendly and actually remembered me when I came in the second time (maybe a month in between visits). They have a loyalty punch card for ice cream and drinks and several games in their retro seating area. There are some old school games and a little plastic axe throwing area which would be fun for kids. If you're looking for a yummy treat, give this place a try. It's their second location and the owner is very friendly, serving up tasty treats.“

“This would mark the second time ever that I've gone to a smoothie king. I'm so happy they opened one up in this area because it was long overdue! The smoothies here were really good. I ordered a pineapple spinach and added mango and kale. It was BOMB. If you're into green smoothies, I'd highly recommend that you won't be disappointed. My girlfriend got a carribean way and she also liked it. The service was pretty quick. We got our smoothies within about 5 minutes of ordering them. There isn't much of a vibe inside because there's only 2 seats in there, so I'd recommend just taking it to go. Give this place a visit and treat yourself to a bomb smoothie.“
