“We had a great experience here. Peri peri chicken has been my go to spot always. It’s a small place but it doesn’t disappoint. The owner and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. We had the appetizer platter, the chicken sandwich with sides of hummus and pita, peri fries and the corn on the cob. The pita was so soft(check the video below). We also had the whole chicken platter. They also have options of mojitos and shakes for drinks. Everything tasted so good and fresh. Will be going back definitely to try more items of the menu.“

“Akihi is a chain of boba shops, with this location being located right near the Rutgers University campus. It was quite spacious, with large glass windows facing outwards to the plaza that hosts other smaller shops.

The shop hosted a self service kiosk, which made it easier to order and find things, as this was my first time visiting this chain. The menu is reasonably priced, with standard boba flavors as well as serving snacks.

I got the Brown Sugar Brulee, which wasn't too sweet but had a nice flavor to it. We also tried the passionfruit tea (called the fruit party) and it wasn't too sweet but very refreshing as well. It is a good compliment after having a heavy meal and you need something that isnt too sweet.

“One of the best Burgers I have ever had in my life. I love their smash beef Burgers especially SmashMelt with Double Beef Patties. It is my go to order and one of my top comfort foods.

Their Vanilla Milkshake is also really good. Mozarella sticks are just average.“

“I just got food today at King of Gyro because I had a crave for a gyro and decided to go here. When I ordered my food was needed by a friendly worker and the chef did not disappoint. I got a gyro with fries+soda and it came out to around 13 bucks! The gyro was amazing and filled to the brim with chicken. The fries were crispy but needed a little more salt. Overall amazing food and I’ll be here in the upcoming future. The environment isn’t the the best but it is calm and cleanliness is good!“

“Pictured: Half chicken alfredo, half buffalo chicken pie - $18Douglass Pizza is a classic for Rutgers students so had to check it out for ourselves. The buffalo chicken was a bit dry but the chicken alfredo was really creamy - altogether a 7/10. Their menu is pretty extensive & all halal. “Indoor dining. The servers were very efficient. The manager/ owner a guy was very kind and trying to help out next table, I found that very helpful and kind. Their charsi karahi and biryani was tasty. Had their chai too and leechi pakola.“
