EMPIRE DINER AND RESTAURANT

MAN listen……this was my FIRST TIME EVER COMING TO RENO!!! My boyfriend and I came here for food before hitting the casinos!! The only reason why I’m giving one star is because Tone that works in the grill was a real one and made the experience great!!!! Shoutout to TONE!!!!! Now we decided to go to the empire for ribs and boy was that experience one to write home about. The atmosphere was trash and so was the ribs. Let’s not talk about the spoiled smelly coleslaw that could have taken my boyfriend out if he would have eaten it. The fries were warm but was giving either over cooked or undercooked it was weird and un-edible. All in all this place is trash and I wouldn't recommend this to my worse enemies. Definitely an episode of kitchen nightmares in real life.

Waiter took a very long time to be serve us At all! So I am so mixed about this review! My turkey meal was fantastic, but I didn’t get my soup. A waiter should ALWAYS check with their table after their food has been brought out to see if anything is needed and or was cooked right! I didn’t get my soup, 3 people were out of drinks by the time the food was brought and one person needed syrup for their waffles. My daughter’s salmon wasn’t cooked all the way and had literal slime! By the time the waiter came back, everyone was done and one person didn’t ever get a refill! They got 2 of 3 empty drinks! Didn’t offer to take anything off the bill. Complimentary pictures were supposed to be offered too but were not! To spend that much at a diner, I expected more! It is cute and has potential but good service would have fixed everything and issues could have been addressed

Nice diner with a great selection of dishes. My server was very friendly and accommodating. Both my friend and I enjoyed our meal and she even bought 4 pieces of carrot cake to take home! Support local businesses!!!

Great place to eat, very nice staff and don't forget discounts for First Responders...

Monica the waitress was an absolute nightmare. December 23rd 2024. She was so impatient and rude. Please address this complaint. The new owners cannot afford to lose business.

Went in for afternoon lunch with my mother in law. I was getting over an illness, so didn't have much of an appetite.She, however, was craving a good steak.She got the salad bar, sirloin, potatoes, and broccoli. It also came with a couple rolls.I ordered a Chicken Ceasars Salad.She said the steak was cooked perfectly, but there was just a lot of fat on it. She took some home and had better reviews on that part. (Lol)The salad I ordered was great. I could only eat a few bites, though.The waitress was really nice. The diner was clean and playing upbeat music. I always have a good meal here.
