“My wife and I went here for our 17th Anniversary. Got there a little early so went to bar 1st. Drinks were awesome and the selection of bourbon was great. Our table was ready before we even got our drinks, but were allowed to sit and relax. We soaked up a little bar atmosphere before going to the dinning room which overlooked the river. The staff was great and accommodating. One of the owners even stopped by to talk to us for a bit. The food was perfect and well priced. Manila Cafe is a traditional Filipino grocery store & restaurant with turo-turo ("point-point" in Filipino) style counter service where you point at what you want.

The pancit and pork sisig were great. But the real reason we stopped by was the craving for some halo halo dessert after an unusually warm & sticky September day! Masarap! We also picked up some awesome ube flavored polveron cookies that aren't easy to find, even at other Filipino stores in the state.“

On the healthier side you can go unhealthy I recommend the pita chips with crazy feta (whipped feta, onions, and jalapeños) it has a tiny kick not hot at all. You can pick what they offer whatever is in the bowls they recommend but just choose what you want that's what I do.“

Every Chinese restaurant i ate at I always find the fried rice to lack flavor or the rice was just either hard or mushy but this place imo was just right. The lo mein was excellent as well. “@halal_mexican is a hidden gem in Philadelphia that has some of the best HALAL Mexican cuisine that I’ve ever tasted. I love that I was able to find a Mexican halal spot. Pictured: -Flautas -Shrimp Chimichanga -Mini Corn on the Cob -Chicken Tacos -Steak Burrito Bowl My favorite item from there has to be the flautas. It’s a deep fried rolled chicken tacos served with pico de gallo and sour cream. Highly recommend this restaurant to all those seeking a tasty mexican restaurant with good service and halal food! “I absolutely love this store and hate they don't deliver. I wish they would because I'd order probably 5x more that I normally do and I go there a lot. Everyone there is so nice and professional. They have great attitudes and are willing to help any way they can. I cannot get enough of this place. My absolute favorite are the cheese fries. I had an issue with my phone getting wet so it wouldn't work and they were so kind to let me use the phone that was behind the counter to try and call my husband to order me an Uber home. He didn't answer and they called for me again because I cannot dial the number because the phones are far behind the counter. They are just so pleasant there and I would recommend any and everyone to go there and try their food. I've never had not 1 thing that I didn't like or was not satisfied with. This place is great“

It was exactly the best of what you would expect - crisp lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and perfectly-cooked bacon strips cut into nicely-sized short sections (so much better than the bacon bits I feared I'd get). “The matcha lava …is absolutely amazing! I initially went in for cookies bc my husband wanted cookies, and I came out with all 4 flavors. They are good (some really unique flavors including one that was miso), but extremely heavy to the point of being brownie like. The lava cake tho…we devoured in 5 minutes. I highly recommend this and also rec you eat in. It’s made to order so incredibly fresh. I ran 2 errands after grabbing this and the lava was still flowing and ice cream still solid when I got home! It’s also a nice looking space. Idk why I never went in until now. Will return!“

“Tina helped coordinate a small party in the Nook space for a 40th birthday party this weekend. She was so responsive and easy to work with. The space was just right for our group of 14 people. It’s a great spot in the corner of the taproom that feels private and comfortable. The bartenders were incredible- so friendly, helpful, and fun! I liked the flexibility of being able to bring in our own snacks and cake, and also have the food truck as an option. We have been NCBC fans for a long time but this is our first time having an event in the taproom and we couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks NCBC!!!“
