Taste of Soul Restaurant by Ms. Nancy

Hi everyone we just ate for our first time from the restaurant's food truck at The Willingboro Jazz Fest and it was awesome! Next we will dine at 345 High st Burlington nj. Today I ate the Basa fish platter awesome! Best fish ever! And the macaroni salad was also the best salad I have ever tasted! So thank you so much and we'll see you soon God bless from Lorenzo

Last week, I ordered four fish entrees and waited one hour to be told that they missed one of my entrees. The server offered to quickly fix the order and charge me for the missing entree. After waiting one hour and constantly being told my order was being completed and “she got me”, I opted to take my three entrees and leave. I did not believe they could quickly complete the missing entree in a reasonable time. The mac and cheese was awful, fish was overly salty, and yams too sweet. My total bill was $93. This place must have been purchased by new owners.

To the owners: Your customers deserve better and you can do better. A quality product/service, excellent customer experience, and customer retention are necessary pillars for any business to survive. Good luck.

We had the Taste of Soul food truck for our event at a warehouse serving our employees. The planning process with Miss Nancy was a breeze, and she is truly lovely! All was well leading up to the event and the day of could not have gone smoother! Our employees were raving about the food (begging for seconds) and the staff was courteous and friendly, truly a 10/10. You MUST try Miss Nancy’s food, she packs flavor and pizzazz into your favorite soul food dishes. Try the plantains!!! Can’t wait to go to the restaurant!

Left a note in my bag that said “this is what you get when you don’t tip your server.” It was all the money I had. Mac-And-Cheese gave me food poisoning which sent me to the hospital. I would also like to mention that the chicken was cold and hard. I would like to say I would be back but, for my health and my toilet I cannot come back to this establishment. I can’t even say it’s wonderful😤

OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Mrs. Nancy the owner is the best. Came over and introduced herself to myself and company and made sure we were satisfied with our food. She also personally prepared our to go meals for us. Wish I had taken pictures of our food because it was delicious. My favorite is the grits & fish. The turkey wings are also great along with the sides. Ohhh and when you try their cornbread you will fall in love.

First time dine in on Father's day with the family. The cornbread was delicious. My mom got the turkey wings. She said it was sooo good the meat was falling off the bone, so juicy and flavorful. We're planning our next trip. Staff was very attentive and thanked us for coming

Everything was delicious. Only thing I didn't care for was how they scored the chicken like fish. It dried the chicken out. I don’t mind waiting for good chicken to cook, lol.

First time we ordered our drinks were missing. This time after speaking with the owner, she threw in free drinks and desserts. Fish Mac and potato salad were all exactly what we needed!!

Been coming to Taste of Soul/Ms. Nancy's Place for quite some time and the food never disappoints. Food is consistently good (looking at you pineapple glaze jerk chicken) and service been great (even from a takeout perspective). If you want great food (and some good desserts) give Taste of Soul a try.

Their catfish is outstanding!! I really like their mac and cheese too, although sometimes it is a bit overcooked. Food is abundant and well priced. My work orders here a lot!

I ordered from them on Doordash. We had the seafood cakes and jumbo shrimp platter and the fried fish(swai) with jumbo shrimp platter. Fish was fried perfectly, super flavorful. Shrimp delicious! We also had the cornbread basket to share. It was like cake! It has a sweet drizzle on top, very delicious! Mac and cheese had an interesting flavor to it and I liked it! Yams weren't too sweet either, just perfect. I would order from them again!

Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking & ordered the fried catfish platter with candy yams and Mac n cheese & I must tell you the food did not disappoint ! I only gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 because the Mac n cheese was a little runnier than what I’m use to , but overall I definitely recommend. I also ordered strawberry cookies n crème and strawberry shortcake cookies which were bussing too. The customer service was 10/10.

Jerk Chicken was very dry. The Greens had no flavor. The Mac N Cheese was so so. I will be back to try the Fish. The Cornbread was GREAT.
