We've been meaning to to try so many of the new restaurants in the area. We finally got here for a late lunch today. Not surprisingly on a Thursday at 2PM and snowing, we had the place to ourselves. It was fortunate because the woman who took care of us explained everything to us in detail. I wasn't familiar with the Kurobuta pork. Apparently it's known as the, "Kobe beef of pork." All their pork come from Berkshire pigs. They come from a farm in Jersey. I'm guessing North Jersey....read full review
They hardly give you any food for what you pay. Food was OK not delicious. For $113 we got two small salads, Chicken fried rice and two scallops and a piece of cheesecake the size of a spoon. I didn’t know if I should just say something or just laugh to myself. Will not be returning.
First time going, and far from the last. Amazing Japanese tapas all cooked over White Charcoal imported from Japan. Lucky enough to sit at counter overlooking the grill and sat next to the owner, a gentleman who started in the restaurant biz in Tokyo. The two sampler of seafood and meats and homemade sauces were just outstanding. Service was top notch. BYOB is an added bonus.

KUROBUTA - White Charcoal Grille is a simpler local eatery that is family owned and run. The atmosphere is pleasant, very calm, and instantly puts you at ease. The outdoor patio is beautiful and relaxing, perfect for a Friday night. The food is a fusion of various Asian cuisines, cooked to perfection. Dishes include the pork skewer set, xo noodles, and the grilled branzino, which is a house special. The niku set was absolutely delicious, and the ramen was loved by kids. The tapas were delicious, especially the buttered scallops. The owners are the loveliest couple; the owner/chef is friendly and welcoming, making guests feel like they are visiting a friend. Service is attentive, friendlier than most, and handled a group of ten with ease. Prices are reasonable. Guests are already planning return visits for the standout weekend brunch, including the Japanese pancakes.
