Recently moved to Caldwell and had high hopes for this place (and still do). Unfortunately, the few times I’ve been it has just been ok. If you drink coffee black without any sweetener (like I do) then you will know the coffee is just ok. I have had some of the pastries including cookies and again, ok but nothing special. I have had mixed experiences with the service, from attentive and helpful staff on one occasion and another time they were disinterested, with tables needing to be cleaned and trash building up but they were chatting behind the counter and it wasn’t busy. I am convinced this place can be good so haven’t given up on it yet.

Great spot for coffee and breakfast! Rick and Joe Coffee serves amazing coffee — rich flavor and perfectly brewed. The place has a cozy vibe, friendly staff, and excellent breakfast options that pair perfectly with their drinks. Definitely a go-to spot in Hackett for a fresh start to the day!

Always my go to coffee shop when I lived in West Caldwell...still get their when I can as Danny and family are friends, and the products and atmosphere are always great!!!!

Stopped in here after seeing the “100% real fruit smoothie” sign they have displayed in their window. I ordered the summer strawberry smoothie. As I watched the barista make the smoothie, it wasn’t made with real fruit at all but a premade mix out of a bottle. The smoothie was ok, tasted completely artificial and full of sugar, something you’d get from Dunkin’ Donuts. A tad disappointed. Probably won’t come here again though.

Rocking Joe is a must. A cozy cafe bringing the community together with great food, flavorful coffee, teas and yummy beverages. I highly recommend!!! Do Yourself a favor get the banana bread!!!

Unfortunately, after staying away for about 5 years due to my less than stellar last experience, I decided to try them again. The last time there, I ordered some small lattes for wife and I, which were watery, and over extracted. Milk was not frothed properly.. So this time, I ordered 3 flatwhites small, I asked for less milk so it would be closer to 6oz.. but unfortunately they still have not been able to dial in there espresso, still over extracted and burnt, milk had no foam and was not homonigized with foam.. this is my last visit, and figured I would share. I expect more from a place dedicated to serving coffee..baristas need to be trained properly and understand how to tune the grinder and machine to get there coffee in a proper window..and learn how to make the drinks they sell properly..
