I haven’t been there to Corrine’s for a while, in months as a matter of fact because the food wasn’t all that the last time. Thought I’d give you a play anyway. I ordered 3 platters and was disappointed. I definitely will not be coming back. Mac and cheese look like it was a day or 2 old, yams were nasty… Candied yams are suppose to be sweet. Cabbage was very salty and smothered chicken even looked like it had been sitting around all day. Didn’t even get my cornbread, eating utensils or napkins. I come all the way from Philly, 30 minute drive for this!? Then have the nerve to be charging over $8 per SLICE of cake… 🤔🥴🤨WHAT!?
🤦🏽♀️😤Unbelievable, probably why the case was so full because you’re being greedy. You got your last $90 and some change from me. Should’ve kept my tip. I have recommended you in the past but never again!! 😡

Review for Corrine’s Place in Camden, New Jersey
I made sure to visit Corrine’s Place three times before writing this review to truly gauge the consistency in service and quality—and I’m so glad I did. Each visit was a heartwarming experience, thanks to the owner, Ms. Corrine, who made my guests and me feel like part of her family. Her genuine spirituality and passion for hospitality shine through from the moment you walk in the door.
The food is nothing short of exceptional. After three visits and sampling a wide variety of dishes with seven different guests, I can confidently say that Corrine’s Place is a gem for soul food lovers. My personal favorite is the whiting paired with candy yams and black-eyed peas—it’s a perfect harmony of flavors. I’ve also tried the green beans, collard greens, cabbage, and macaroni and cheese, all of which are outstanding examples of classic soul food. Every guest who joined me left thoroughly satisfied and eager to return.
If I had to offer one critique, it would be the iced tea. I’m not sure what brand is used, but it doesn’t quite match the high standard of the rest of the meal. Lipton’s or freshly brewed tea with lemon would elevate the experience, especially when paired with such authentic Southern dishes.
Despite this small note, Corrine’s Place has earned my loyalty. The food is delicious, the service is warm and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere feels like home. I’ll definitely be returning and bringing more friends and family to support this wonderful business. If you’re in Camden and craving soul food made with love, Corrine’s Place is a must-visit!

I drove over from Philly on Sunday 3/2/25 around 1:30ish. My friend and I dined in. Our waitress was pleasant and seated us immediately. We were the first customers to eat in at that time. I ordered Beef ribs, Potato Salad, Greens n cabbage combo. I can’t even articulate how insulted and disgusted I am firstly for not sending the ribs back! They were all bone, tasted old and were drenched in bbq sauce I am sure to hide the plate of tough, old bones I was served. The potato salad was fine, the greens and cabbage wasn’t bad but it was bland and lacked any love. I read the negative reviews before I came but I had been here before when they were under construction so it’s been a while. No place with any integrity would serve that dry old meat and expect a customer to return. I try really hard to support my people but I refuse poor treatment and total disregard for quality. I will not go again and will tell anyone asking for a recommendation to miss this place because they fell way off and destroyed what used to be a good reputation. 😡

My first time going there and the experience was absolutely horrible! By obligating me to pick five different choices of meat when I only wanted ribs not only that I express to the lady I want it just ribs and she proceeded to ask me the same question! Lady at the register should have ask if I would like a dessert because it comes with the meal. Well her approach was cinnamon or chocolate. They need to practice on customer service and how to approach a customer weather is a new or old customer. And attitude adjustments establishment will work better. I will never step a foot in that ghetto establishment!

It is a shame you have to give a star rating before you can post a review. This is a minus - star review. I heard business changed ownership and Ms. Corinne is just lending her name for “a cut” of profits but not involved in the cooking any longer. Food is HORRIBLE, HORRENDOUS, TASTELESS, BLAND AND PORTIONS ARE SKIMPY. I got the beef rib platter and the 4 ribs were tiny. The Mac& cheese was dryyyyyyy. Greens had no taste. And I thought cornbread used to come with expensive platters but now you have to buy separately for 1.60. This is what happens when ownership quietly changes hands…. Quality and quanity diminishes DO NOT BE CONNED AND EAT HERE. Ms Corinne and family are no longer on the stoves. High prices and sub standard food being served. A company takes over and corporate greed nixes the long devoted customers.

I ordered a chicken wing platter and a fried whiting platter, side were Mac & Cheese, potato salad, and greens (collards.) Additionally, I ordered 2 pieces of their sweet potato pie… the pie should be called cinnamon pie, literally, I’ve never seen such dark colored pie, when I took a bite, nothing but cinnamon!!! Back to the main food…. Across the board… No Taste, there was no seasoning used, oh, did I mention the cornbread. just awful. This was a $70 waste of my money.

I bought food from the food truck and ordered a mixed chicken platter. Was told there not any mixed chicken just wings or tenders i ordered wings with fries and a side mac and cheese. I paid $22 and the portion and quality of the food was less than sub par. In addition, i never received my mac and cheese. Im sure you can make better soul food at home or find better food elsewhere, because this place is not it.

I tried this place 1st time last nights and the food was ok. The greens good but spicy, smothered chops & gravy was good and cuts were tender. Mac & cheese not what I’m use to but ok it’s all good. Cabbage was a lil too mushy, but had flavor. I didn’t like my ribs it had some kind of rub that just wasn’t hitting for me. For the distance from my home is about 40 minutes away and for the $price of things not too bad I just wish I got the chops instead of the ribs I didn’t like them too much and ended up wasting them.
Parking: Street parking but you’ll find something may have to do a little walking once you do but it’s ok.

I visited Corrine’s this past Sunday & the staff was friendly welcoming, and the atmosphere was nice. However, I could not eat any of my food. Presentation was great, but everything I had was extremely salty, mac & cheese, the collards, the cabbage and the turkey wings. I mean extremely! I couldn’t eat anything and it looked delicious, but it was just sooo salty. I don’t like overly seasoned food so I thought maybe I was being a bit picky but I let my son taste it who is not as bothered by salt as well as my daughter & they couldn’t eat it either! It was just terribly salty that day,.almost as if the top of the salt shaker fell off & there was an oops moment. Also my sweet potato pie was burnt on the top😔
Lemon cake & chocolate cake was very good!
