Donkey's Place Reviews
Great Food and the Staff is great. I've been going there since I was a kid with my dad back in the 70"s the place looks the same as I was growing up. I love it
So as if the sandwiches weren't hit or miss already let's add horrible customer service to the list ..I've been a customer since 1985 and the owner and his old staff never treated US like these.no customer service skills having staff /family. This was the last time yall will get my money 😡
Donkey's has the best cheese steaks I have ever tasted. The caramelized onions are perfect. Cheese is out of this world.

Donkey's Place is a classic, old-school restaurant known for their awesome Cheesesteak sandwiches. The atmosphere is fun and the staff is super friendly. The place has a cozy, divey vibe with Eagles memorabilia and pictures of celebrities on the walls. Inside, it feels like a local spot with a fast, organized chaos as servers move quickly to serve everyone. The cheesesteaks are made with shaved ribeye and onions on oversized poppy seed rolls, and the meat is juicy and flavorful. Customers have praised the same great sandwich and friendly, offhand service that has been there for years. The pickled onion might be the weakest part of the meal, but the fries are superb, seasoned shoestring French fries that are just alright, though sometimes the hard roll can get overwhelmed by the meat and juices. Overall, Donkey's Place offers hearty, delicious sandwiches and a fun visit, especially for Eagles fans during game days. The atmosphere feels like a local spot to enjoy a great cheesesteak, with some reviews mentioning the place’s charm and its efforts to keep its original character intact.
